Shadow Slave, a fairly competent western fantasy novel based on a world of eldritch horrors.

Pacing can be really good sometimes, skipping training arcs and travel time, other times it can drag a little bit. Most of the time though you’ll find yourself reading wonderful world building and improving fight scenes.

Overall I’d give this novel a solid 4.6.

If you’re worried about some of the other reviews just try it out. I don’t find the MC to be a simp at all. Sure he’s a bit of a horn dog sometimes but what 17 year old isn’t? No his choices aren’t always the best or most optimized but he tries to stick to the path he thinks is the best. He’s a real character with flaws and fears. He wants to do better and develop as a person but stumbles along the way due to his upbringing. Is he the end all be all of characters? No. But he shows real development and strives for something more than being the average murderhobo you get from other novels. Don’t listen to the hate from people that just want some edgy dark lord who kills all the time and trusts no one.

Read this book, it’s worth it.

The world background and the power scaling is so unique and awesome; they definitely get a 10/10 for me
There's also a female lead who can actually make her own decisions which is a great plus since they are usually seen as burdens in other novels
- My only complaint is the pacing. It could've been cut shorter so it won't be boring. Character interactions rarely happens and feels off sometimes. I think it's because author is prioritizing quantity over quality but it needs improvement

There's also a lot of group fights which I hate very much cause it doesn't make sense. Imagine a teammate is attacking an enemy but you are just standing there watching how it unfolds lol

Well this novel was good, had great potential then it got bad.... Around chapter 280 or before this it got better, now at 300 or so the Mc made a stupid decision and now I'm skeptical about this whole thing.... Let's just hope its character development since he was a normal human before this, Ofcourse can't expect the best decision 100% of the time(this is me consoling my self)

So far it's a fun story, if you don't mind a naive Mc that makes wrong choice here and there, has the hormones of a normal teen while hiding a secret.... I don't blame him, you can never tell you're a simp or not if you haven't been put in the situation... So just hold tight and read.... That's what I'm doing though at the moment I'm irritated because the Mc

Author sure thinks he's smart, i saw what he did there but I guess we can't always be making the right choices in life and this is reflected in the Mc character.

For those worried about this flaw this makes it pretty fun so I'm just waiting to see his character development.

I'm skipping the last few chapters of this arc... Hopefully sunny gets betrayed by the girl he's simping on... I understand the Mc feelings at this point and his attachments to the chick... I can relate in some sense.

Anyway so far the Mc is smart in the sense that he can plan ahead and all that but stupid when it comes to emotions and all that stuff since it his first time experiencing these things which makes it acceptable

I do not remember the name. but I remember that the main weapon of ms is a scarf that turns into a spear or into a weapon that it absorbs. ms at the very beginning changed the race to the nine-tailed wolf. ms has two rare elements, if I remember exactly, it is a fire star and an ice star. I think this is enough shtobi at least someone could tell me the name of this light novel please
