    Its good to see this novel getting the rating it deserve. 1st volume was good but 2nd volume is so bad i cant even continue.... I tried sharing my opinion other platfom but this novel have some of the most hardcore toxic fandom. Tjey'll downvote you to hell if you speak a single thing against this book like some cult following.

    Why people here criticising this novel, i don't understand. I know mc is edgy and easily blush when any girl physical contact him but you have to understand the mc never contact before beautiful person. He was a outsider. And when he get the chance, you can understand his mentality.......I think people who criticizing most likely are who dont read sirious novel....they just think mc just have to colder and ruthless type from the start....Mc is not come from some kinda good background..he doesn't have education and knowledge about how treat people and merge with people. He is living in society where he how to get advantage and manipulate other so he can survive...and due to his ability flaw his character more like be more edgy... First read then criticize and don't just criticize novel just you read little chapter....

        bro, apparently there is a toxic fanbase for this novel and I actually read it on a different site and people criticized it the same if you read most of the criticisms are genuine, and its mostly about how mc is handled in the second arc, everything else about it is great writing setting story well developed characters. its like having your chicken soup and the are some flys in it.

      naw man, I and most people like the Mc flaws and all, the first arc is beautifully done but the second arc makes it brutal on mc who is supposed (was) to be a cool-headed break.
      the whole killing of an ""innocent"" Kinda forced. Then things spiral.
      The author puts hurdles in front of MC without any payoff like when in the tree arc he overcomes the hurdle he gains golden blood and respect and trust from the other two. then the second arc they take that and flush it down the drain.
      THIS NOVEL IS NOT TRASH it is like having a delicious meal but in middle, an insect flies into your mouth and that happens in 2nd arc many times and people have just lost their appetite that is all they are indignant about not being able to continue the feast.
      we just need to take some time and let the bug taste out our mouths. then continue reading
      Nobody expects anything from a trash novel but when a good/great novel dose something stupid like MC instead of having character dev has character degeneration that's even more frustrating........
      The inner monolog of mc being very very insecure and jealous doesn't help. MF needs to move on man but he doesn't.
      you must be at the first arc it's great but tell me after he kills that receptionist guy that whole thing is forced by the author and doesn't feel organic at all.

    First vol is great. Second vol is eh...

    MC suddenly become a simp with 1 single brain cell. Became edgy too

    lol. It seems like most people here have never read a serious character development story. Gotta be an eye opener for sure, as the premise is looking good.
    Actually, it's not that painful as MC could start from an even lower point. It can't compare to the amount of shit that MC of the Death Scripture has been dealing with. MC started as a real slave there.

            Before reading this chain, I doubted whether to read the work. Now I tend not to read. These people tried to defend the book, but all their arguments come down to the humiliation of people with the opposite opinion. Instead of refuting the opposing side's arguments, they deny the opposing side's competence to speak its mind. Usually in an argument, this happens when a bad debater runs out of arguments.     The history is good. Slow story and thoughtful world. It's not a quick romance with an MC with the system. The only drawback I saw was the long flashback in the second volume. The MC is forced to behave ruthlessly because of the environment in which he grew up, but he is still a child who is 17 years old and has no life experience. The MC is tough, but in Volume 2 he comes across some real ruthlessness and it's pretty interesting.)

    This is the fastest drop in ratings I have seen ,it went from 5 stars to 2.8 real quick.
    Ok , I understand the contradictions of MC and side characters did a 180 from Book 1 to Book2. Also there was some telling to showing. I know it kinda went downhill when the characters arrived at the city but it doesn't deserve this Rating people.

    Anyways ..atlist you can hate the novel here but not in all sites ...in some sites i know is among the top 30 ...

      You know how contradictory MC is, to the point that kills the story. For someone who claims to be ruthless and deceitful, Man sure is a A grade simp for women to walk all over him and blush like a soyboy when having physical contact with women, having inner conflict for simplest of cause, ready to play hero. Promise of ruthlessness shown in vol 1 was no where to be found in vol 2. Powering through this novel because story and world building looks pretty interesting. Do the self pity every 20 chapters and not every f#cking chapter. If MC was some rich sheltered kid who have no idea how world works, does this, would have been tolerable, but someone who claims to be ruthless and deceitful does this, the sheer hypocrisy will rub you the wrong way.

          Character building is one of the most messed up tropes. Most authors fails to accomplish this trope. The biggest problem is, the base personality of mc never changes.
          Let's say, story starts with a naive kid(as with most character building novels) then he goes through some trauma and swears to change. After 10 or so chapters he is back to being a naive kid.
          If you like character building trope then you never liked truly strong personality.

              This site houses more veterans readers, so they see a lot more plot holes.

              As for lord of mysteries, the mc was pseudo strong. Weak at most times, strong when at risk. It's like taking steroid to gain muscle. It shows but it's not normal for them. Real strong personalities are mcs' from warlock of magus world, reverend insanity. Even at a calmest of situations you would feel respect for their strength and maturity.
