          I don't mind the fact that sunny became slave or whatever.. as just by reading the title, I was expecting something like that.
          But, the process'- it disgusts me. So much that I can't even force myself to read the next chap

          And, Sunny helped Cassie so much just so that she can make him some else's slave. Nice

          You can't imagine some random blind girl see through your greatest secret as if it was some cheap Intel. I mean- her power is prophecy - which I am pretty sure doesn't include "Sunny's true name" as he would rather kill everyone than let others know it.

            She doesn't only have future sight, she can see their statuses as well. Either way, yes, the process isn't what we would like, but I believe that how he is going to deal with Cassie is going to be all the more Interesting because of that. Also, Cassie probably did it so that he would be safe and not stay back, maybe she saw him die in that future, idk. But feel free not to like it, it's your choice.

    I have read up to chapter 348 and was spoiled for up to 350 (I believe, end of book 2, can't remember if we entered book 3 so I will refer to it as book 2). In my opinion, don't pay attention to the reviews calling the MC pathetic and such, just read the book and decide for yourself. As for my opinion on it: The pacing is very good, not too fast but not too slow either (there are some small exceptions but their existence makes sense IMO, I am not a fun of slow pacing either so trust me that if you find the pacing slow, it is like that for a reason, same goes for "skipping" something, the writing is also very good without any redundant text from what I could tell as well as proper descriptions that made me feel the emotions the characters were feeling at any given momment, the world of the story sounds (at the start) as a generic "dungeons opened up on earth" world but is actually much more unique than that, gets more depth as the story progresses and personally I love the eldritch/Lovecraftian horror vibes that book 2 has, the protagonist (mc) is not pathetic or a simp as many reviews make him out to be, he is an orphan that grew up alone (17 at the start of the story I believe), in a world a bit more cruel than our own and was forced into a situation were he could die from literally anything, calling him pathetic just because he is not a battle junkie or doesn't make the "bravest" decision is plain stupid and shows how bad of a precedent we have created for book protagonists, I personally find him and his actions very realistic considering the circumstances.

    All in all, yes we can find negative things about the book, you can even say that you don't like how the story progresses as of the end of book 2, but calling this work "bad" because you don't like how it goes, is stupid.

    The below is the reason I believe(you might think otherwise) how book 2 ends isn't bad (according to the spoilers I was given)



    These are just my opinions of course.

    All in all, personally I find this one of the best books that have come out recently in the Fantasy genre and one of the more original ones. You should not listen to anyone telling you straight up not to read it and just give it a try for yourself, on that note, if you can make it to the start of the dream you will like it very much so since that's where the true action starts the rest is just a prelude.

      Realistically, an 18 year old who has lived with hunger, poverty and struggle for survival will always be VERY mature for his age or he would be dead long ago.

      Dont come here trying to explain his action like he is a modern teen that spend all his days on the internet and only has to worry if he will eat Mcdonalds or pizza for his meal.

      A "fragile" and "insecure" person would have died on the streets long ago. If the author wants him to behave this way then change his origin story.

        I believe he shows enough maturity for the situation, because, yes, a teen that has lived that way is more mature, but also, the same teen doesn't go into a world of monsters that can rip him apart. Now, you could show me a part that supports that view you quoted if you would like, but overall I believe he was good enough.

          Bruh didnt you read my last sentence. I havent read the novel. Why you might ask? Well because of this:
          Issue #2
          Sunny's personality goes through a dramatic shift after he gets his Flaw.
          In the first few chapters we are shown that he is a cold and intelligent killer. A master manipulator who has what it takes to survive. An antihero who can rise to the top, if you will.
          But he very quickly becomes a whiney, goofy, betaboi idiot. His Flaw forces him to talk, but it doesn't force him to be such an annoying twat. That's all him.
          Everyone rightfully hates him because he's a "I'm sOoO RaNdOm LoL!!" jackass who "truthfully" insults everyone he meets and apparently our previously cold blooded killer can't even look at a girl without cowering. He becomes... kinda pathetic? And not in a fun way.

          Issue #3
          The author really, really, really, loves whipping and screwing over their MC. They love it so much, that it often spoils the plot. Setback after setback with very little payoff.
          He just gets more and more pathetic. And it makes me feel bad. I don't wanna read 200+ chapters of the MC getting beat like a dog.
          The author said something about him needing to hit rock bottom when I asked, but guys, Sunny is literally a dirty, malnourished, orphan, slave boy who has been beaten every day of his life. His family was murdered, he has those annoying Flaws I mentioned earlier, and he's stuck in a death game and only has borderline useless shadow powers to live.
          He f#cking started at rock bottom! We don't need to punch down anymore! It's bad storytelling!
          It's almost S&M smut.

            Then don't, books are about what people like reading, the fact that you see it that way doesn't mean everyone else does. Also, yes I can see the issue 2 in a way but then again, new writers sometimes change things, you are reading a Webnovel not an established book from a professional writer. Issue 3 is a meh for me. The whole world was set up in a way that he would fight to survive, getting f*ed over by the author isn't what is going on, it's just that the author knows that most of the time, the things go bad in those situations. What did you expect? That he would constantly get power ups for being above average ? If you want to read a power Fantasy with an mc that wins with minimal setbacks, go read literally any xianxia novel. Some of us are bored of strong protagonists and want a slow, painful rise to power kind of story. Nothing wrong with either.

              Bruh i dont want a boring power fantasy with a cold,cringe mc. Actually what i want is a story like shadow slave in a dark souls like setting. Even if the mc was weak i could potentially turn a blind eye to that. But what i absolutely hate is a pathetic mc with absolutely no backbone. Like f#ck i already have enough relatable characters in real life. When i read a fantasy story i want an mc that has a unique powerful personality. That is also why i generally dislike character development of a pathetic mc. Even if the end product is satisfying,having to endure all the bullshit that comes before it unbearable. And what i absolutely love most is an mc with a powerful personlity who over time gets development but doesnt change the very core of his character.

                I mean, I personally didn't find him pathetic but maybe our definitions are different. An mc I would call pathetic is the one from Grimgar for example. Either way, Sunny does have backbone and the only reason he is a "cold bloodied killer" at first is because he doesn't kill real humans etc. Later on he has backbone and does kill anyone that stands in his way or is a danger. He also faces danger head on when he knows he can win. The only scenes where he seems pathetic are ones he needs to tell the truth yet shouldn't make it seem like the truth, those are the times he acts like a betamale or whatever the reviewer said (which shows they didn't read much).

            Now if you want to hear me, who has also read all chapters available, give it a try. It starts mediocre, true . Changes also happen at the start, true as well. (Both cuz the author was very new att and experimented probably) . But if you read it, it is a very down to earth souls like experience in book form. We see character growth and change as well as real human interactions, which are awkward and easily avoidable if you see them from a different perspective, yet realistic. We see epic battles and wins as well as loses, we see a very unique power system that is explored a lot yet very little about it is known. All in all, I also didn't expect much at first but I've come to love it.

        Mind you, reviews are there for giving an opinion, read the book and generate your own. There are books out there that have great reviews but I found them boring and others that have bad reviews yet I liked them. Give it a try at least, it's not as bad many others that are top 10 on Webnovel yet should be at rock bottom.

        Read the chap before the reply. Why feel bitter that he would lose? Nephis is also a very strong character, who got a true name on her 1st nightmare just as Sunny AND had top tier training since young, 1 year of him in the dream is a lot of training but if someone also had a lot of it before... . As for him wanting freedom, I never argued he would want to be a slave, just that the plot was set up in a way that he would end up as one, it was natural and personally I find it great that Nephis was the one to say it.

          From what you've described it just sounds like straight up trash(Haven't read it yet just the comments), weak MC is cold hearted etc at the start then just starts being dumb, gets the aspect and meets a friend and stays their friend(Something quite dumb when you literally can't lie and you literally would become their slave) realistically a convo between two awakeners would go something along the lines of - what element do you have ( or something similar) and do you have a title, since he can't not reply he'd say yes and they'd ask him it. The girl who can see the future and told the other one his true name would be someone that the MC would definately kill if he's "Smart" since the future can literally show his true name and if he has a mask that lets him tell lies he should always be wearing it. This story just seems like a typical MC gets powerful abilities but somehow some random FL always matches him and the future telling girl just seems like a plot device so that his true name gets out there and the betrayal as well where he was made into a slave(considering she was meant to be weakened MC would have killed her most likely rather than have his sword not touch her) and aparently he had helped the future seer girl a lot as well and she told the other girl that she'd lose against him and told her his true name and bro is simping after being made a slave, just seems like a repulsive novel that has a different concept but bunch of plot devices and that one typical FL that no matter what MC does they're always similar to his power
