Holy shit I already knew Webnovel was a trash site but this translator….f#cker split the chapters into 4 later on and releases 1 every 12hrs, essentially releasing half an original chapter every 24hrs. If you haven’t started reading yet, I suggest you go find the version translated by Deathblade, which is much better quality than this lazy pile of shit. If I wasn’t already caught up and don’t have the patience to wait for deathblade to catch up, then I would definitely dump this trash right away. Now the actual novel is amazing, and luckily I stockpiled a hundred plus chapters because it gets really hype in those chapters and there were so many comments cursing the translator for splitting chapters into 4 and causing many fellow Daoists to fall into the Dao Of MTL. R.I.P

This Novel suddenly turned from a harsh world where mc needs to hide and face the consequences of his actions and collecting resources in this harsh world where no one except few people can be trusted to comedy and slight romcom where mc doesn't need to risk his life to collect not only money but cultivation arts ( like how grand was it of him when he acquired the golden crow art) now his master makes him custom arts , gets a Inheritance and stops making more new poison , I really hate the transition the author is making , like I know not a bad novel( not at all )but how the author is making it cliche like reaching the peak and boom there is a bigger world with young masters and shit although the author does this perfectly I have no problem with any of this the only problem. I have with this novel is the( captains unwanted excessive comedy. The unwanted romcom that the author forces on the mc. Every time the mc doesn't want to do shit alone like the early chapter. There is always a women or captain in his journey like ITS ENOUGH AUTHOR ENOUGH. WHY RUINING SUCH MASTER PEICE)

There's is this story where the mc is a mastor manipulator..it starts when people from the mc's world and the mc himself are transported to another world (with unknown entiry) and while his peers seems strong (due to powers granted by the unknown entity) the mc seems weak in a world where the strong are respected and weak are. ..the mc being weak he decides on using manipulation to his own benefit....can someone please remind me the title of this master piece...

It's an er gen novel so I'll still read it just because I want to see the Other MC's appear for a few lines I have read to the current chapter. It's good, the recent arcs are fire.

This review might be a bit confusing so sorry lol, I'm not a native :

I've been following this novel ever since chapter 50 and I can definitely say that it is so much better than the newer system-based, transmigration, reincarnation etc. novels.

Its an Er Gen novel so I already had very high hopes at the start, and when I learned that it would have a similar vibe to Renegade Immortal, I was completely hooked.

It takes place in a totally different setting compared to Er Gen's previous works. Its in a post-apocalyptic world, and it seems like the Gods mentioned here will play a crucial role in the future. Y'know, Allheaven levels of importance.

The world building is the usual Er Gen stuff, generic yet well-thought. Also can't forget the author's fetish of always making the MC stronger than his peers, beating up cultivators with higher realm than the MC, etc. You got the classic Er Gen lines like; All of this seemed to take a long time to describe but in reality, it happened in an instant...too.

It has light-humor, like of RI because it is supposed to be a serious novel. It doesn't ruin the vibe though. Anyways so don't expect AWE levels of humor.

Though to me, these are what makes the novel enjoyable to read, especially when the author doing it is Er Gen

...I don't know if we'll go to different planets, realms, a higher plane and so on, if we do then I'm very interested in how the author's gonna make it work in this novel. After all, its an apocalyptic one.

Ahem...now let's talk about the MC, Xu Qing. Growing up in the slums, all by himself and with dead family members , he developed a pretty cold and ruthless personality. Also I have to say this...He was both ruthless to himself and his enemies, yeah classic xianxia line again. XQ also has a habit of looking at people's necks when talking, that's something mentioned a lot in this book.

Yeah, he's all cold, scary and stuff however he's quite inexperience when it comes to humane matters. Especially love so its quite funny when XQ's caught off guard when he'a met with a social situation.

Different from other Er Gen MCs, there's always a person right by his side, the infamous , the captain. He's almost like a second MC lol. Probably my favorite character in the whole novel.

Other characters are very written as well. I especially liked Saintly Star as a rival for XQ. As for romance, well there isn't anything so far but keep it in mind that there are several characters with the potential to be a love interest. I really hope XQ ends up as a loner like SM though. Er Gen sucks at romance.

Let's talk about XQ's cultivation. His speed at cultivation is extremely fast, the chapter rate for each advancement is like the previous novels. However his speed by itself is quite astonishing, he's not even a hundred years old in chapter 600.

WL with formations, MH with alchemy (skill with refinement), BXC with alchemy (creativeness), SM with his talent to attract tragedy (nothing comes to my mind other than that tbh), and now XQ is skilled at poison related stuff.

Some of you might've heard of it. Deathblade is picking up this novel with the name 'Beyond the Timescape'. I believe that the novel will be more enjoyable to read as Deathblade will adjust some terms and names for non-Chinese readers like us. For now I'm taking a break until its published.

Try this novel once that happens you won't regret it.
