After a long time found a Novel that is worth reading and did not get boring after some time.
This one has a different feel to it.

No cliche, 3d characters, no nonsense romance, comedy of captain 🔥🔥🔥🔥🤣🤣🤣🤣, excellent world building and plotline

Honestly the captain's tendency of writing the letter on behalf of Xu Qing is infuriating and a turn off to the story, Qing should grow a backbone and tell him to keep off his personal matters ..

Does this take place in the same universe as the rest of Er Gen's novels?

No bullshit, clear headed MC, touch of romanticism here and there although its clearly not a main objective for now, and there's some good comedy too lmao
I can't say its the best I've ever read but its definitely up there!
If you're looking for a lighter/less evil version of RI then this pretty much fits your bill with how cold the MC is, and have I mentioned the humor? It's on the light side as well but it's not awkward in the least! Very well written and the progression is on point.

Very boring. In the beginning there is not a single word that would make you worry about the main character. Why then read this tedious stuff.

The novel is good, one of better ones in xianxia genre but the problem i have with this kind of novel is you never know where mc stand with his power. He is both strong enough to jump a few realm when he need or he cant beat someone one stage stronger. I like when there is a fix divide when qi gathering cant beat foundation and foundation cant beat core formation. I dont care if they can escape when facing stronger cultivator but dont let them jump realm and kill whoever they want but also expect me to believe there is a BIGGG difference when mc break through.

Worse is Er gen have a fetish for making his mc cultivation way longer, like everyone be cultivating 9 qi realm, mc gonna do 15. Everyone build one foundation mc will 20. Everyone got one nascent soul mc got a few dozens.

The quality of the writing is very good, the writing style has life, the plot is ok(at most) nothing surprising, the characters have a little "life",
