One of the best cultivation novels out there. Starts very good and you read Qi condensation and foundation building arcs like drinking in a desert. Then, just when your thirst is satisfied, core formation arc starts. To me, it is so far the most interesting arc. Nascent soul arc comes next, but it is a bit bland, and you might need to grit your teeth and preserve, just to read a splendid secret repository arc. The story is now in nihility arc, which is also really good so far. All in all, if you still didn’t read it, you should drop everything else and dive straight in. All the best, my fellow daoists)

Edgy MC is my man gripe of this novel

The novel is not bad, and if you ignore the absurd number of plot holes, illogical moments, devaluation of information and character characteristics, and the fact that the author himself forgets what he wrote earlier. If you ignore all this, the novel is quite readable. Although I admit, I am really disappointed with such plot holes and errors, from such an experienced author... An author who has written a lot of good works.

P.S. Another point I don't like. This is not a mistake in the plot or a mistake of the author, it is just a matter of taste, my personal opinion. I don’t like everything about the growth of our MC’s personality, the further you go, the more kind he becomes, and also spending a lot of time on things that are useless to him. And all these actions are simply incredibly opposite to the MC character who was in the first 200 chapters.
