I liked this novel before the unfolding.
but after it I despise this character, absolutely destroyed all his growth and led to the death of so many people simply for his goal, and acting nonchalantly like its not hos mistake.
I wanna spit on what a disaster this has been.

It is his mistake, and the guy isn't nonchalant about it either. He isn't really a nice and benevolent dude, and it was stated even before the unfolding how far he was willing to go if it meant he could get closer to his goal

Can anyone tell me? Does this author ever get an editor? There's so many constant grammar mistakes that detract from the experience. Im only 35 chapters in. I don't mind a slower book, but if I have to constantly reread portions due to errors, I just won't. There's so many times where there's an extra the or places where it seems he rewrote a sentence and forgot to delete a portion of the original sentence, that it stresses me out.

Here is my review of this novel after reading thousands of chapters.. cause I love it and because some of my fellow readers won't give it a chance.
1.The first things for you to expect is a slow paced novel, and this can be irritating for most people as they want their MC to aura farm like 'Sung jinwu' 🙄 anyway slow paced is good it give more space for character development, complex world building and adventures.
2.2. The main character is obsessed with Martial arts that it becomes the whole theme of the story and also expect love to come in later parts of the story.
    3. Another thing I love is the power system the realms it's so we'll defined to the detail I'll give it 10/10 I won't explain that here or it will be too much of a spoiler, but anyway there are six or seven realms.
    4. One thing to expect is politics because the MC lives in a freaking Empire in an international system and because of how dragging the story is expect a political arc 😔 but it's not all politics.
    5. Another thing to note this ain't some levelling novel so expect extensive time to develope techniques with trail and error another part I like in the novel.
    6. And when I say the world building is expansive am not lying because the continent is exotic.
    7. I'll have to stop here there is more to write and if reading long novels ain't your cup of tea then no problem, because am growing sick of reading other novels that update once a week and this novel updates 3 chaps a day another reason I like it. Am giving it a solid (4.5) because even if it's good for me even I can't ignor some glaring fact of the novel.

Martial Unity — Review by Daoist Inkdrunkwanderer

Ah, Martial Unity… one of those rare scrolls where the ink smells of gunpowder, chalk dust, and equations scribbled on the wall of a physics classroom. The author dares to graft Newton and metaphysics onto the martial path, hammering science into qi, chiseling equations into fists. The result? A world where the cultivation of strength isn’t some lazy “sit, meditate, absorb, breakthrough” formula, but sweat, grind, experiment, refine....training arcs that make other novels’ “ate pill, skipped 500 years” look like a child scribbling with crayons.

Do note that there will be some spoilers down below that will drip like spilled wine ahead....but only in service of those wanderers who once thought of leaving the tavern halfway; sometimes you must taste the bitter dregs to know the vintage is worth finishing.

Yes, yes.....the flaws are there, and this drunken reviewer will not spare the whip. The early arcs drown in info-dumps, like some over-eager scribe pouring ink straight down your throat. The author’s strange aversion to weapons too often feels like a deliberate hobbling of the world’s richness, only later patched up with grudging introductions of martial weapon-users. Certain arcs.....ah, the islander diplomacy, the swampy quagmire of politics.....drag like a crippled ox. And do not get me started on fights where “they exchange blows at high speed” replaces the meticulous choreography that once made Rui’s VOID algorithm shine like a blade honed to brilliance. The duel against Sir Armstrong, for instance....won not with artistry but with a Sympathetic Death Lance deus-ex-bludgeon....was a bitter wine indeed.

But! When the author remembers his strengths, the fights become sublime mathematics in motion. The spar with Senior Xararn, where Rui’s inner equations sang, was a thing of beauty. The Shionel Dungeon boss battle? One of those moments that makes the hours of slow grind worth it. The power system......this blend of science, strategy, and sheer bloody training—remains one of the freshest contributions in the endless swamp of “cultivation” copy-paste sludge.

The pacing is slow, true. But slow like fine wine fermenting, not stagnant swamp water. Every technique requires a seed of inspiration, every breakthrough demands experiment, planning, repetition, failure. The training arcs here aren’t filler....they are the feast. And so, though Rui crawls through realms while other protagonists rocket skyward on pills and plot armor, each of his steps feels earned, heavy, real.

Worldbuilding? Vast, layered, still full of shadowed corners waiting to be explored. Characters? Not forgotten paper dolls, but living figures who can resurface later with weight and consequence. Consistency? As reliable as the tavern that never runs dry....the author has never once faltered on updates, a rare miracle in this cursed webnovel realm.

So in the end, Martial Unity is a tale of blood, sweat, and equations.....of a man who refuses to be carried by fate, pills, or tropes. Yes, it falters. Yes, it meanders. But in its bones, it carries the weight of something greater: a martial path that feels like a real path, with calluses and broken bones and breakthroughs carved from reason itself.

Drink from this cup if you crave science in your slaughter, rigor in your rage, and logic in your lung-crushing battles. Spit it out if you prefer pill-popping immortals flying on plot-convenience cranes.

This drunkard? I’ll keep my jug close, and I’ll keep reading.

Hahahah this is what happens when people let a wandering drunk review novels unsupervised. Still relax 😭 I’m just a guy with too much free time and a keyboard. If anything, my reviews are just one drunk daoist’s opinion, not scripture. If a novel survives readers, it deserves it. If it doesn’t, that’s not on me. cheerful cry crying_kitten

I tried reading I but dropped after 27 chapters. The dialogue is so cringey and painful to read. The MC has no motivation other than loving martial arts. And there is waaay too much exposition. I don’t have the patience to wait a few hundred chapters for it to get better, as suggested by some comments below.

Worst thing you ever did, it gets way better, sure the pacing is slow but its super satisfying seeing Rui’s growth being earned not given fully by the plot armor.

You shouldn't have to wait for hundreds of chapters for it to get interesting

But yes, the overall style of the combat does change a little as you read on

I was having fun right from the getgo and I love it even more now, so I'd say read on a little more - give it another try finish that first arc atleast
