        For example, by re-reading "The Birth of the Demon Sword" 6 times. I fall asleep after 10-30 chapters, but I wonder what will happen after 2000+ chapters. But I don't want to just skip the 1999 chapters and read them again. In short, I got hooked and there is a goal to at least read a mid-level novel

    Small Review at ch 150.

    For some reason this novel feels less Er Gen than usual... The novel is most similar to the Dark King, Tales of herding Gods.

    The setting is in an post-apocalyptic world with cultivation.
    There are touches of horror which give it an "authentic" feeling.

    So far, the MC meets a lucky encounter at the beginning and road is relatively smooth


    I don't think there is anything new and innovative here. Just OK plot and cultivation system based in a different setting.

    It hasn't gotten to the point of recycling yet so hopefully Er Gen can give us a surprise.

    Worth reading? Mmm I still think that Will Eternal or ISSTH (for all its flaws) was Er Gen's best work and that there are better things to read (LOTM, I'm Really Not the Demon God's Lackey, Mother of learning etc) but if you are looking for something to pass your time this may be it:

    This is one of the best novel I have read in recent times. Writing, story, plot are amazing as expected of ErGen.

    During some event I feel the impending approah of cliche storyline and my heart turn sour but it'd turn out I was wrong and MC makes a different choice which makes it so enjoyable for reading.
