Julian Weber is an officer in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and a graduate of Westpoint Military Academy with a degree in civil engineering. As U.S. involvement in Afghanistan comes to an end, Lt. Julian Weber finds himself involved in a terrorist attack by the Taliban, which claims his life.

    This novel is so good that it is a pleasure to translate it into Russian.     Quick-paced. Technology and economy developed too fast, or I'm just reading fast. Most chapters don't reiterate/get stuck on earlier events. The MC is ambitious and applies retributive cruelty to overcome the issues of the era he is in. A decent light reading material for alternate history enjoyers.

You are greatly missing out on a good novel. The dark theme with psychological elements is really prominent here. The plot is really good later on and well 'plot' is also good.               totally agree with you Miao. It's not a novel where you can read 10 chaps and be like 'this novel is shit'. you really need to commit to reading at least the first 500-and-something chapters to really get the whole story of why and how everything came about and happens.

              PLIC is basically a perfect example of 'came for the lewds, stayed for the legit plot'. It's far better than similar ero novels because there is an actual reason for everything that happens rather than the usual lazy asspull from most ero novels.
