One of the most revolting novel I have read well at least tried to. The novel is filled with the author sexualizing a 10-year-old girl. Then the MC, a 30-year-old man, gets engaged to a 12-year-old girl who is his cousin no less.
Then he fawns over a 16-year-old girl and pretty much r*pes her.
Don't trust the reviews this novel is a paedophile den.

Brother, delete this comment, you are embarrassing yourself
The novel is set in the medieval period heading to the industrial revolution and the author is based on the real history of mankind, it was common to marry members of one's own family (Mc is 20 at the beginning of the story).
The second point is that there is no sexualization of the girl, in adele's case, so much so that the MC himself is angry that his father wants him to marry her, the MC also waits for her to reach adulthood in the 16 period to develop a relationship with her.
Third point, in Linde's case it is totally fair since she tried to do the same with Mc because of her masochistic personality in the case of getting like him using some aphrodisiac and took their relationship
The author also develops very well their relationship and heroines in the case each one has their role in the story
You made this review without thinking and didn't even read the story right and also you tried to bring it into the modern context of course that would be morally wrong

Sorry if there is bad grammar I used the translator

Listen I am not going to refute that the things you said about medieval times.
But the author has started that MC considers himself as a man from the 21st century and at first MC himself was revolted by the idea of marrying his 12-year-old cousin but not long after the MC says that he doesn't mind since "she is very mature for her age" which is a line that is probably used by the "that" kind of people when they first get caught.
And the matter with the b*tch, trust me man I hate her guts for the shit she tried to pull, but here the mc is from the 21st century where knowledge of human psychology is at its peak. The Mc should know that the girl had a very bad upbringing and should have found another way to get back at her like humiliating her in front of a lot of people, for someone who is very prideful it would have been more effective attack. He should have been the bigger person who knows more about psychology more so since he was in the military. But what does the mc do? He r*pes her and after doing what he did he doesn't even show any remorse instead he celebrates the fact that he's not a virgin anymore.
And about the mcs age, I took his previous life into account.
And if you're wondering the age at which the brain fully develops is at the age of 25. And the girl was 16.
And after reading this if you still think I am the one who is "embarrassing" myself then I don't know what to say to you brother.

Bro again the problem is that you want to take the context to the 21st century you can't do that in these medieval stories
Mc also says that she is also more mature and natural because in ancient times people matured earlier even if they didn't have the education of today. And in the context that you put the sentence of course it would be wrong
In the case of Linden honestly the MC was a simp in the past life by what is said and that explains his behavior towards her since he never experienced the art of seduction and had no relationship with a woman, I understand that you wanted him to be but rational and vengeful in this situation but do what I am not the author is liked how the relationship developed from that point is that it became part of the personality of both after this happened, you think he would think about the psychology in these moments following that he was quite naive until his brother almost killed him again.
Do you think the guy will know that the human brain develops at 25 sincerely there are teenagers with 15 and 16 years old that are more mature than many adults out there and at that age most of them know what is right and wrong morally there is not much to talk about.
Mc considers himself a man of the 21st century but he also has to adapt to the period he is in. He is not a God that will change everything and end the injustice of the world so much that only now in the current chapters he is implementing modern rights and laws
So much that he even hints that people are not yet ready for women's rights so he is doing everything slowly
I am saying this because Your first comment has been posted as a review and will appear highlighted for people to read
The way you have written it also looks like the author's work is horrible causing both problems for the writer and for those who seek to read a review to see if they will read the story or not
I also see that you are a very morally and politically correct person and to me you seem like a person who has never seen the evil in the world and naive to think that this cannot occur.
will never study the history of mankind you can be scared of what people can do

Brother, listen I am not questioning the norm of the medieval ages, I know it. I am questioning the morality of a man who is from the 21st century, aka MC. Let's give you an example of why what MC is doing makes him a total piece of sh*t, slavery, in that time it is totally normal, so should MC build a ship go to Africa and kidnap the native from their homeland and sell them as products and start a slave trading empire? because, going by your logic, we shouldn't put the thought process of 21st century in the medieval times. Actually don't answer that seeing how adamant you are at defending what the MC is doing is right, I am sure you would defend that too if it were to happen.
And you said what MC did was because he was inexperienced with women in both lives, and he did it for the first time in a spurt of a moment (which is bullsh*t) but then what would you say about all other time he did "that". MC even calls her "His little toy" which is disgusting beyond belief. My family has a lot of women and girls and I just can't imagine a 30-year-old man calling one of my 16-year-old sister or cousin "his toy", if that seems okay with you that's you my guy.

In the end, what I'm saying is just because everyone around you does something wrong, and you know it's wrong, that doesn't make it right. Mc has enough power to bring a barony to his knee in a night, but he doesn't have the power to do the right thing? I would have accepted it (somewhat) if MC was just a medieval prince, but he's not.
If this still doesn't convince you, I don't know hat to say. Brother.

              You are correct.
As much as I like the novel, the underage stuff really throws me off sometimes. If MC adapts to the world and accepts underage girls, then what prevents him from accepting african slaves and throwing racial slurs at them?
The logic of since back then it was acceptable and so he can do it, just doesn't make sense.
When something is wrong, its just wrong. Don't defend it. It just makes me question someone's morality. Furthermore, you're reading as a 21st century man. If you don't feel uncomfortable reading that part, than I'd be surprised. Real or fake, if I read something that goes against my morality, I'd question it.
Still, if you do ignore that part, the novel is actually really good. I have, and I don't regret it.

Finally, someone sees it. Thank you man, I thought everyone here was.... ya know.

your point of view is totally correct you are in no way at fault. however , your point of view or mentality should i say is quite a bit different from the norm we see here in these communities.
this isnt because we all endorse rape pedophilia slavery murder arson wars and whatnot but rather because of the attitude or the mentality with which we read these novels.

My family has a lot of women and girls and I just can't imagine a 30-year-old man calling one of my 16-year-old sister or cousin "his toy", if that seems okay with you that's you my guy

relating to such events in novels of this sort is just stupid why would you want to imagine your family members in a sexual context anyway?

you have no idea how f#cked up these novels can get and so literally not a single "veteran" reader reads these novels at a personal level and most keep their distance from the characters as a whole.
its part of this separation from reality that causes most of us to gloss over such acts. we've read so much f#cked up shit that this kind of stuff hardly even feels that horrible or unforgivable anymore.

id like to further upon this by pointing out how you ,when you point out some sins the author has included in the novel, conveniently decided to ignore other acts like murder ,espionage, manipulation, blackmail, betrayal and war itself and how the mc uses it to further his ambition...you too chose to gloss over this because for whatever reason you felt like it was ok for such a thing to happen... the same is what is happening with other readers.

but of course its still your choice whether you wish to read it or not but do take care when you use harsh words like "pedophile den" because essentially you are accusing those who chose to gloss over/ignore it of pedophilia. which is why multiple users chose to express their opinion by disliking your comment.
Brother, delete this comment, you are embarrassing yourself
which is why user @MelonCat told you this

To add to this i too feel uncomfortable reading rape pedophilia and all that bs but you can just filter it out without much difficulty. while the author may have written the novel you will always be the one reading it and altering a few insignificant facts in your mind for the comfort of your morality is something id recommend doing when reading novels of this fashion.

the reason i wrote so much is because i really did like this novel for the accurate reenactment of history and with the way characters were fleshed out and you decided to focus on only the bad and none of the good so just wanted to show my understanding of why your judgement was flawed ..or so i believe.

Movies and everything gloss over those, but none go as far as pedophilia. There are just things u can’t defend. His judgment is not flawed at all. It’s 100% correct.
See if a movie adds pedophilia, absolute mayhem.
Let’s please stop defending the pedo stuff. I like the novel a lot, but won’t defend something that s wrong or makes me uncomfortable.
Let’s take African slaves for example.
If In the novel MC suddenly hires black slaves and racially degraded them, would you not feel uncomfortable?
The excuse that it’s just a novel doesn’t work.
This is what truly flawed logic is.
Furthermore everyone is different. Some people can’t stand that stuff and just quit. That’s very fair. If I see Ntr I bounce. No matter how U explain it to me, I won’t give it a second chance.

I mean its fantasy insofar as a man reincarnated into a near-earth historical context and said man's exaggerated ability to uplift their technology is fantasy. That said I'm over 300 chapters in and have not seen any "cultivation" in the novel aside from some physical training on the MCs behalf early in the novel.
