    I'm enjoying it so far at chapter 43. It's not bad but not as good as the others. The world is ok but the main character is kinda... How can i say? He is different. If you don't like him you won't enjoy the story. War messiah kinda exaggerated on the curses here, there was no need for so many of them.

    I feel most people downvoting this (or spamming low ratings) just don't connect with the very specific humor in this novel.
    It's far from the dark and depressive KTS, but it's still great in every other aspect, and IMO the humor grows on you

      A good part is just people who probably didnt like the authors past novels and i can say with almost certainty, even without even starting to read this novel that they probably also wouldnt like this one.
      But well i imagine for people who like his works like myself this will be overall pretty good, hopefuly as good as his first novel or maybe he managed to extract and refine the good parts of the emotional bs he likes to write finaly(strong doubt tho, this would make it his best novel by a long long shot instantly, Probably would become the second novel i consider a master piece of cultvation novels(first is Beyond the Timescape).

    I read this novel upto chapter 90 and I'm taking a break and stacking chapters. I don't think the mc is dumb as the others are commenting , he's like the joker in batman. His past was traumatic and he's using jokes as a way to cope up. So for the most of the troublesome stuff he takes

    I had to stop reading this for a bit. The author just made this MC too dumb. Some people who are a fan of this author might like this since they might find it funny, but I just find it annoying.

    This isn't stupid as in ignorant, this is stupid as in MC almost takes pride in being stupid. And the more you read, the more you realize that this MC is just made this stupid for plot connivences and "comedy."

    So that means, don't expect MC to become more intelligent later, if ever. Sure MC might gain some more knowledge, but no matter how much he knows, he will always still act stupid. Why? Because MC is stupid for plot connivences and "comedy."

    Also just FYI everyone, there's this guy names "ye_nhh" basically Kanye_ Nigga Hiel Hitler. All he does is post lyrics from that Kanye song, and call random things nigga in the comments. He's never on topic and is just using the comments section to troll. The closest he comes to being on topic in regards to the chapters is calling some random thing nigga.

      I agree that Kyle isn't capable of being serious, and that warma is leaning a too much into it but i still enjoy his writing nonetheless so I'd say it isn't crazy bad and if you enjoyed LITOW's goofy moments, you might enjoy this too

      I think your problem with the novel is that you take it too seriously. If this dumbass was in Kill The Sun’s world you’d be rightfully indignant about Kyle’s character, but this novel wasn’t meant to be taken seriously. It’s supposed to be an action novel with a bit of stupid mindless fun mixed in.

      It’s fine if you don’t like that kind of goofy narrative, but there’s no need to insult the work just because it’s incompatible with your taste.

    Good and funny story. The MC isn't the smartest but has a certain low cunning. Although the story is lighter than Kill the Sun or Sword God in a World of Magic, it is still high quality.

    The magic system is much the same as the author's previous novels.
