A fairly good novel. I honestly didn’t even realize this was a English novel (not that it’s a bad thing but haven’t had many experiences reading them) at first due to how good it captured the vibe of a Korean or Chinese novel.

That being said it’s a horror novel but wouldn’t say it has many parts of horror as it’s more focused on other stuff. Not a bad thing but it does suck when the horror game parts are there that much.

There were parts which I didn’t like about the novel or felt like quitting but I pushed through and don’t regret it. Liked the mc but he seems to have gone a bit later on to the point it brought the mood down I’ll admit.

It reminded me a lot of my house of horror and got dropped in a ghost story early on but soon became its own thing.

Good read as it has some substance to it but more so id say it’s to pass the time with a pretty good read that Isn’t just all fulfillment.

I think if you've read Got Dropped Into A Ghost Story Still Gotta Work, this work might be for you (id know, I've read both), they start similarly but branch out!

The most interesting part of this book ( to me ) is the monsters and (idk remember the name they used, I think rift?)! The main character goes through a lot of developments and honestly Its a bit funny where he is at during the latest chapter of when I wrote this (642).

Yeah, just try it for a few hundred chapters and you will probably understand what I mean.

For those who have read the description, but not the genres, a reminder: There is a romance tag, though it hasn't been present (not even at chapter 642)

Honestly, I will recommend anyone who has not read this to atleast give it a try. The story is more of a thriller than a horror but is entertaining nonetheless. I have been reading new chapters every day since like 350-400 chapter. I really like the whole concept of story and found it pretty fresh compared to the usual. The thing which I don't like is that sometimes it just feels like stuff happened which doesn't really make sense cuz the author wanted to write a particular storyline. These instances feel forced and feel like they came out of nowhere. I was a bit disappointed by the whole jester arc due to this. The worldbuilding is also non-existent apart from the barebone structure. Apart from that, it's pretty good.

Totally recommend.

Story development: 4.7* (a few minor flaws, and a few chapters have a bit of a strange pacing)

Writing quality: 4.8* (not the best you will find out there, but the way some turn of events is written makes it very close to a 5 imo)

World background: 3.4* (the only thing thats considerably lacking at the moment, hope it gets better in the future so that I can change my rating to a higher one)

Character design: 4.6* (would be lower if not for the character development of the Mc in chapters 430 onwards)

This story is simply too good to skip, there are so many unexpected events and small details the author puts into the story that simply combines perfectly with the plot. Sure there are one or another thing I would like to see writen differently, some characters are a bit annoying and some are forgettable but overall this is a astounding work, best horror story I have ever read. It’s in between a A+ to S- novel for me, hopefully if the world background is developed further the rating can increase.

there are some bumps along the way, and personally it had some parts that made me real mad at some characters. but overall it's really good
