Chapter 967: Strongest Strength |
When Kyle pulled out his hammer, the surroundings shook. All of Kyle's muscles bulged, and the Energy around his legs vibrated as he tried to keep the hammer from falling.
The onlookers were surprised and a bit puzzled by what they were seeing. This hammer was obviously far too heavy for Kyle. Having a weapon that was far too heavy did not necessarily increase someone's attacking power. After all, speed was also important when it came to creating force. Getting hit by a train going one kph would only push somebody, even though there were hundreds of tons behind it. Meanwhile, getting hit by a bicycle going 30 kph could break bones and even kill a normal person if they were unlucky.
With such a heavy hammer, Kyle couldn't possibly launch a powerful strike. At most, he could only let it drop on the enemy.
However, the onlookers also knew that Kyle wouldn't make such a basic mistake.
Kyle's Domain shook as he raised his hammer over his shoulders. The space compressed, and the gravity of the Domain pulled the hammer upward. Even though the hammer was far too heavy, when Kyle lifted it, it seemed to have an appropriate weight.
After lifting it, Kyle's muscles bulged once again.
BANG!
A shockwave of Energy spread from his body and hammer as he charged towards the Early Spirit Lord Demon. This was the first time during this event that Kyle moved more than just a couple of meters.
The gravity between him and his opponent strengthened, increasing Kyle's speed.
Kyle's relative time increased, making him even faster.
An arc of a black hole's accretion disk appeared between him and his opponent, pulling him forward.
His impressive Infused Body Law stepped onto the surroundings, shooting him forward.
10% of Kyle's Energy vanished as his body moved in an arc, following the arc of the accretion disk and mimicking the swing of a hammer.
A tunnel of grey surrounded a bright orange arc through which a grey body moved. Reality seemed to part for Kyle as he shot forward at incredible speeds.
Within instants, he reached the colossal Demon and its thick shell.
Kyle swung, transferring all of his momentum into his hammer.
A dense black hole appeared on the Demon's shell. All of the gravity of the black hole was released in an instant. The black hole evaporated as all the gravity pulled Kyle's hammer closer.
"RAAAAAAAH!" Kyle shouted as his mind embraced the violent storm of rage in his mind.
The Demon didn't move. It wasn't supposed to. It had put half of its power into its armor, leaving nothing for speed and adaptability.
A black hole appeared on Kyle's hammer, and for just a moment, it also looked like there was a second black hole, but in a different kind of reality.
The hammer struck the immense shell with untold speed and tremendous weight.
BOOOOOOM!
The surrounding Energy was thrown into a chaotic storm as the shell of the Demon vibrated at a high frequency.
Yet, there wasn't even a single dent in the shell. Even though Kyle's strike was far more powerful than any strike a Legendary Sage could possibly unleash, the shell only vibrated.
BOOOOOM!
At that moment, a second explosive storm of Energy shook the surroundings.
CRKSH!
The tremendous Demon suddenly shrank to a tenth of its size before it rapidly expanded again. The rapid expansion didn't stop at its old size, and within moments, the Demon's body covered the entire arena...
As a shower of blood, guts, gore, bone dust, and metal shavings.
The onlookers couldn't believe what they were witnessing. The entire Demon had essentially exploded into a shower of fragments!
Kyle pulled his hammer over his shoulders again and took a deep breath as a storm of blood drenched him.
Protector Ziccan took a deep breath. He had seen that attack before, but he hadn't seen it used on a living being.
General Regalia's body shook a bit as she witnessed the immense force Kyle had just shown. Protector Ziccan had told her that Kyle would win this battle with only a single strike, but she hadn't expected Kyle to win with such dominance. The Demon hadn't just been killed. It had been absolutely annihilated! This was akin to a Transcendent slapping a Mortal!
Overlord Cloudhorn couldn't create any coherent thoughts due to the shock. He had been comparing himself to Kyle this entire time, and when he saw this attack and Kyle's speed...
He realized that there was a high chance he would die if they were in the same Realm.
Senior Protector Bloodrought felt like she had dodged a bullet. If General Regalia hadn't warned her, this would have been the last challenge she had prepared. Without the warning, the event would take an awkward turn as she would need to prepare more challenges on the fly.
Overlord Stygian's eyes slightly narrowed, and a small smile appeared on his face. It was like he had found a valuable treasure.
Fierce Breaker felt his frustration turn into shock. He had believed that he could be just as strong as Kyle, as long as he had access to the same resources. If everyone could focus their resources on him, he could also fulfill Kyle's position.
When Kyle had won the last fight, Fierce Breaker's frustration had stepped into the background, but deep inside, he had still been a bit unwilling.
Yet, as he witnessed Kyle's strike, all the negative emotions vanished. That was because Kyle's position had drastically changed in his mind.
When an average player compared themselves to an above-average player, they often felt frustrated. They were not that much better. With more resources, time, and training, they could become just as good and even better. Yet, when the average player compared themselves to an A-Tier professional, there was rarely any frustration involved. What the professional could do seemed almost inhuman or magical. It was like they were an entirely different existence.
The same thing had happened with Fierce Breaker. Kyle had reached a level that even he had considered impossible to achieve, even in the best-case scenario.
The Karmic Line leading to Kyle turned from brown to yellow. Fierce Breaker could see that Kyle was the best person for the job, and he was willing to support him.
At this moment, Fierce Breaker truly realized why Swamp Dragon had always followed Kyle's example when it came to getting stronger.
Manny's eyes shone for a moment.
"My God," Sebastian quietly whispered to himself through his teeth.
Swamp Dragon's eyes narrowed.
Star Genesis' eyes widened in positive surprise.
Everyone had seen what Kyle had just done, but only one person in the audience could understand how Kyle had done it.
Kyle used several skills at the same time.
The first strike had contained the speed and solid aspect of his Law of Hammer, and when it struck, it used the vibration-cracking ability of his Imposing Law. Every bit of matter had a frequency of vibration that could destroy its cohesion as long as the vibration reached sufficient intensity.
When Kyle's hammer had struck, the vibrations traveled through the Demon's body, essentially turning its shell into loosely connected bits of metal, its bones into dust, and its flesh into mush. Yet, since all of the matter was still there, within just a moment, the Demon's body could have fully recovered. It just needed to connect everything again, and Biological Energy would do the trick.
But then, a second strike had arrived at almost the same time. This was the newest ability of Kyle's Imposing Law, and he had mastered it. It could launch an illusory second strike. On the second strike, Kyle used one of his techniques for his Law of Black Hole, Compression. All the loose bits of matter were violently sucked in, crushing and mixing them. Nothing was where it was supposed to be, which meant the Demon's body couldn't recover anymore.
Then, when Compression ended, the expanding force spread and destroyed bits of matter across the surroundings.
This was how Kyle had killed the Demon.
Despite all of the advantages and strengths he now held...
His offensive capabilities were still his strongest strengths.
