Chapter 963: Voidbolt |
While the majority of onlookers were shocked by Kyle's power, his team actually wasn't impressed.
In fact, this was the moment in which the differences between Ayuvar and other worlds, like the Supreme World, became most apparent.
Due to all of the strong and advanced Rites, the average Seeker in Ayuvar was extremely powerful. They could unleash incredible powers without putting any significant amount of work into training.
Yet, at the same time, the peak Seekers were not that much stronger than the average Seekers. For example, the Level 5.5 Infused Body Law was seen as a significant source of power in Ayuvar. However, if one thought about what Kyle had needed to do to attain this Infused Body Law, one would realize that it actually wasn't that hard.
Crushers in the Supreme World already comprehended Level Four Laws. Because of that, it wasn't strange or exceptional for a Sage to comprehend a Level Five Law. In a way, it was even expected for an Advanced Sage to know at least one Level Five Law. Then, the Sage just needed to infuse that Law into a Major Aspect Law, and they had a Level 5.5 Infused Law.
Sadly, in Ayuvar, getting such a powerful Infused Law was more than difficult. After all, how were they supposed to comprehend Level Five Laws?
Of course, if Ayuvar actually had access to Level Five Law Wells, they wouldn't be in such a mess anyway. The problem Ayuvar was facing was the lack of resources.
Nevertheless, for the leaders of Humanity, seeing a Sage with a Level 5.5 Infused Body Law was a unique experience. They had never seen a single Sage with such a strong body.
"Is this what you wanted me to see?" Overlord Cloudhorn asked General Regalia.
"This is just part of it," General Regalia answered. "There is much, much more to his power."
Overlord Cloudhorn slightly furrowed his brows. "Such a strong body is already a significant achievement. Are you telling me he has even more Aspects on that level?"
"You will see," General Regalia answered.
Meanwhile, Overlord Stygian was looking at Kyle with a small smile.
"The first challenge has been completed," Senior Protector Blooddrought announced as she collected the body of the Fighter Demon. "The second challenge will commence shortly."
A moment later, a new person appeared in front of Kyle. It was a tall man who carried a spear on his back. His hair was silver, with a black streak, and he wore the red of Humanity. Based on the Energy around him, he was a Legendary Sage. Even more, his aura was intense. This was definitely not an ordinary Lieutenant General.
"This is Lieutenant General Voidbolt," Senior Protector Blooddrought announced. "He is one of our ten strongest Lieutenant Generals, and he volunteered to be your next opponent."
Voidbolt and Kyle looked at each other. Voidbolt looked at Kyle with focus and intensity, while Kyle just smiled.
Originally, Voidbolt had believed that this battle would be of mediocre difficulty, but when he had heard that Kyle had easily won against a Fighter Demon, his opinion changed. Voidbolt had not witnessed the battle himself since he had been waiting quite a distance away, but Senior Protector Blooddrought had given him a short summary.
Apparently, Black Sin Hammer 37 had a very powerful body. Luckily, Voidbolt had a Lightning and Darkness Affinity, and he specialized in powerful attacks and speed.
"Are you ready?" Senior Protector Blooddrought.
Voidbolt nodded.
"Yep," Kyle answered.
"You are not allowed to kill your opponent for obvious reasons," Senior Protector Blooddrought announced. "The battle will begin as soon as I give the signal."
The two combatants looked at each other. Voidbolt pulled out his spear, and the Energy around him gathered on his weapon. At the same time, the surroundings distorted.
Kyle just stood there, waiting for the signal.
"Start!" Senior Protector Blooddrought announced.
The world around Voidbolt shook as he activated all of his powers. His body bulged as he pulled his spear back with immense power. Large waves of Energy entered his spear, turning into black bolts of lightning. His Momentum assaulted Kyle's mind. Even more, the surroundings turned into a world of thundering darkness as he activated his Domain.
Voidbolt had trained one of the Peak Sets of Rites to a high level. All of his Aspects had the power of Complex Level 4.5 Laws, and his Battle Rite even had the power of a Level Five Complex Law.
The lightning inside the thundering darkness struck Kyle's body repeatedly, leaving minor burns. As long as he didn't activate his own Domain, he would keep receiving damage from the opponent's Domain.
Voidbolt's muscles bulged as he threw his spear forward.
BANG!
With an explosive sound, the thundering spear flew towards Kyle. This attack was far more powerful than the Fighter Demon's attack, and if Kyle got hit by it, he would receive devastating injuries.
Unending waves of Energy came out of Kyle's body as he waved his right arm to the side. An instant later, a black hole appeared in front of the spear. The spear shot through the black hole and came back out. Yet, the lightning around it had become chaotic, and the Energy stored in the attack was dissipating, but that wasn't all that had changed.
For some reason, the attack had become even faster, making it stronger.
The spear reached Kyle in an instant.
Kyle calmly stepped to the side.
The spear shot past him.
It tried to veer towards his direction, but the added forward momentum made it impossible to make a sharp turn.
As the spear shot past Kyle, it vanished and reappeared in Voidbolt's hands.
Surprisingly, Voidbolt didn't seem nervous. The reason was simple.
Kyle had used more Energy than him. Creating this black hole had consumed more Energy than Voidbolt had used to create his attack.
Voidbolt prepared his Battle Rite again and launched another spear.
Yet another black hole appeared, and the spear missed Kyle.
Another Battle Rite.
Another one.
After the sixth Battle Rite, Voidbolt started to become nervous. His Center was at 20%, and according to his calculations, Kyle had to have run out of Energy by now.
And yet, Kyle seemed just as calm as always.
Voidbolt gritted his teeth and summoned a second spear. This time, he would send two Battle Rites simultaneously.
He prepared both of them and threw them forward.
As they flew forward, three black holes appeared. One of the spears flew through the black hole on the right, while the other one flew through the one on the left.
The spears came out of the black holes, and their trajectories had slightly changed. They were now flying directly towards the third black hole.
They entered the third black hole.
BOOOOOM!
And collided with each other.
This time, Kyle didn't even need to evade.
As Voidbolt saw this, his eyes widened.
How?!
Just now, Kyle had used six times as much Energy as he had used before! He hadn't even needed to use that much! Just summoning two black holes with half of their strength would have been enough!
"You done?" Kyle asked.
Voidbolt gritted his teeth.
Kyle smiled and snapped his fingers.
BOOOOM!
20 black holes with immense power appeared around Voidbolt, and they all closed in on him!
Voidbolt's eyes widened in terror.
The gravitational forces of these black holes were immense! He could run from one or two of them, but not from that many!
He used all his remaining Energy to flee, but he didn't have enough left to escape.
Voidbolt's life flashed before his eyes.
And then, the black holes stopped moving.
"So... do you concede?" Kyle asked.
Voidbolt's eyes widened as he remembered that this place was not the frontlines!
He had been fighting on the frontlines so much that he had completely forgotten that non-lethal battles also existed.
"Of course! I concede!" Voidbolt shouted as all his terror turned to relief.
