I read this novel till 400+ but I dropped it since I got bored. I'm not saying the story is not good, but it's just not my cup of tea.
One of the reasons was the MC had his brother's skull to be made as a goblet for him. Even, if it is coated with gold, just sipping wine from it, was so disgusting to imagine. If the author just wants to show the ruthlessness of the MC from it, I think it is totally unnecessary.

Drinking from the skull of your enemy is a common trope, it's not the author pulling it up his arse, but it's definitely edgy

I don't think it's a common troupe—this is the only novel I read that took that sentence literally. Although other novels says something like that, it's more on a boast or a threat, but never did they took that word literally. But here, the MC really took his brother's skull and made it into a goblet. How big is a skull? At least more than your palm and just imagining it felt stupid. It would be okay if the MC just used it as collection, but he's clearly drinking.

    currently at: ch. 20

    it's rushed. really rushed.
it has a truckload of promise, but it's just too rushed.
everything seems to come to him too easily so far - then again it's just been 20 chaps so i guess he's still on easy mode.
hope the pace smoothens out and time is actually spent in fleshing out some of the stuff that goes on in the background.

    My opinion: I read till
and realised I don't really like it. The one thing that put me off is the constant foreshadowing. "No one knows, but on this day, a majestic oompah loopah that will trash the world had been born" something like this. You are meeting a new character? Something something is born. So I stopped. But I can sort of understand why people like the story, it's not bad

      Lol, I agree 100%

It feels like author is adding those totally irrelevant comments, for the sake of word count.

This Novel is a degenerates wet dream.

I can look beyond the underage stuff due to the stories setting however I cringe whenever the author describes the underage love interest as "Loli" or "lolita". Even his "sister" he calls a "cute Loli". But fret not because the author clearly states in the novel that Julian Weber, U.S. Army LT, West Point Honors engineer graduate is in fact...not a lolicon lol.

You really have to try your hardest to suspend belief in order for some of the MC's achievements to make sense.

Anyway what your left with is a Isekai, Kingdom Building, with harem story.

AS SUCH, I do not recommend this story to anyone with half a brain(especially so for those with a whole brain).

If you're a degenerate and proud of it, this is the story for you. Enjoy.

Just to clarify lest people feel slighted by my review:

A degenerate is one who is immoral and/or corrupt. Which is a true statement for this novel.

Also keep in mind that a Tyrant is one who is cruel and oppressive, so set your expectations accordingly when getting into this story.

The reason I can't recommend this novel to the average book worm is because the author has failed to separate himself from his story.

The author also fails to tell a convincing tale of a well disciplined soldier slowly losing himself to corruption on his path to tyranny.

It's one thing if the MC was already a degenerate when he transmigrated, it would explain why he's so quick to accept things normally considered immoral in the 21st century. It's another thing to try and portray MC as a disciplined soldier, trying to hold onto his morals, the author falls wholly flat in this regard.

The author has also failed to convince me that the MC is capable of his achievements. If magic was involved then I can believe, but there's no magic. Just one man in the 15th century with blueprints and an "unshakeable" drive.

That's just me though, I'm sure others have a different perspective on things.

I guess you didn't read that much huh?

because your question about his personality is answered (*note: if you still are reading the story and didn't get to the latest chapters don't read them)

your idea about magic being involved...

your idea of "it is not possible to only have blueprints and achieve all that because he is alone" is just stupid
it's like saying "if a spy steals a blueprint of some weapon from a country, he can't make that weapon because he is alone..." !?
obviously not, he has a team that exists to make his blueprints reality not like he gonna sit in his room to make them alone
every machine in today's world is made of a lot of tiny pieces that are put together
you can ask any medieval blacksmith to make these pieces and put them together to make it, or how did we get the first steam engine or the creations of today's work...? it's not like they are idiots at the time, it is just they lacked knowledge, and the MC provided them that...
it's not rocket science, (at least so far).

plus it was never easy to do it in the first place... he had a lot of people working on things and through errors and remakes came up with what he desired
over time they saw a lot of these ideas to get used to it
and things became easier for them to make

he is not "Just one man in the 15th century with blueprints and an "unshakeable" drive"
he is a noble who has a rich land and great people that would do anything to get a better life and he used them both greatly.

he is immoral, I agree, when it comes to other countries tho, not his people, I can't agree or disagree with that.
you have to add that his people are living the life of mid-up class people in the 20th century while others still live like slaves only to feed the nobles and die of hard work.

as for your problem with his sexual life, I got some problems with it too, but I try to focus more on the story so I don't care for it, plus his girls are mostly lovely so it doesn't take anything from the story.

so all of this leads me to believe you didn't read that much of the story since almost everything you asked is answered... even his sister's part...
        anyways,
        hope that answers your complaints.

His degeneracy & tyranny is not really an issue. The authors choice of words is cringe tho. No need to express your personal fetish in a story many will read.

The real issue is the speed in which he achieved his modern civilization.

Modern guns and infrastructure in under a year by a handful of blacksmith, and bunch of farmers and serfs in the 15th century. This was a time we people believed witchcraft was real and burned ppl at the stake.

There's no way he can teach these farmers while waging war by day and fooling around with linde by night. Plus how the hell is linde able to setup a spy network in under a year and communicate with them across the realm? Plot holes...

I would disagree with "the speed" you are talking about
it is reasonable enough for me even tho it is on the faster side
but honestly, do you want to read more than 100 chapters so he can make a single gun? the answer is no, no one would want that, the author expresses that they struggled to make it work and that is all I need to know.
I don't want to read 100 chapters about him struggling to make something and getting all that useless information, it would be just boring.

as for the "how did he teach them" I guess I answered that already, idk why people treat the old people like retards acting as if not everything we have today came from them... they have way better brains than most of today's society because they don't have all of the bs we have today, and their minds are like a sponge they can absorb knowledge easily because they have too little stuff to think about
not to forget, again, as I said before that as long as you have blueprints they gonna make it since their only problem was the lack of knowledge and he gave them that.
and china invented the guns (fire lance) during the 10th century!! so your dates have no point.

as for the spy thing... Linde already had a network before she met him, she just spread it further when he asked, it is as simple as that.
and it goes back to the point before, it is either this or him taken chapters wasting time, if it goes as you want it to go then he would die before making a decent Single-shot firearm lol
he ain't immortal after all, so, I think cultivation novels would be good for you.

if you want real reasons as to why it has problems it is simple:

I am not a big fan of the novel, it ain't even on my top 10, but you gotta be fair when you criticize and leave reasons in your comments instead of feelings.

anyways, enjoy your reading time, and be safe.

Have read a bit of the story and seems to me the author skips over most of the r-18 scenes and only shows the beginning and just skips the actual smut, does he write out the r-18 scenes later in the story or just continous like that?
