    Just disappointed after getting out of the nightmare ch 1600+, he says he no longer a slave but he does whatever he's told to do by valor and morgan, + cassie and nephis, Whats the points of the new Shadow persona when your just taking everything like a little btch ffs.

    It was good until the 3rd nightmare but afterwards he just goes back to being a slave to cassie nephis and valor, probably dropping it real soon

    Hey guys, I am trying to remember what chapter I am at as I had to stop cause of university work and got busy. I've got that all done and am looking to keep reading.

    From what I remember Sunny is getting on a boat to go to another continent. (with the Reaper girl i believe)

        The novel is called Shadow Slave, shouldn't it be obvious Sunny would eventually be enslaved? I don't like what Cassie did, obviously, but if you were enjoying the novel before that happened, I think you should give it a chance and continue.

      Kind of hit and miss up to chapter 800, really good in some parts and some chapters makes you want to drop it but the novel gets really good past 800 if you last that long really addicting

      It just feels... new?
      Nowadays when I start reading webnovels I always already kinda know how its going to progress. I couldn't do that with Shadow Slave. The author did something that shouldn't be as rare as it is, and made an original Story. That combined with a novel progression system, really good characters and immersive worldbuilding as well as no grammar issues due to it being an English original made it one of my favs.

      The Book spiked in quality In Volume 5 (800s) and further spiked again where we currently are (1600s). The ones giving the book praises are the ones who have caught up (I'm one of them). Overall the book is Great. It starts simple then gets to a point where It's Worldbuilding and characters are second only to the likes of LOTM.

    I tried reading this up to Chapter250 but I'm dropping it. What's with the MC and Nephis, it's as if Sunny is not the main character besides his so called personality does not match his actions. From the review I read here, he endures more nonsense further along the line. Author should have just made his lead neph maybe it would have some sense. The characters are just weird. In fact why would a MC be a slave to someone else, very good story though but something's are just a turnoff when you read more

    Damn I have nothing else to read, I'll have to go along with the realization that sunny is a side character instead of MC so as to enjoy the story. I mean it makes sense, the book is titlef "Shadow Slave". A slave to the real MC and forever be in her shadow. Alriiiiight let's go. I'm back

    Usually it's the main character who moves the story forward, has ambition and goals, makes important decisions and the leader but I guess guiltythree had other ideas for his own cvck MC. Okay I get him being a slave and always in the shadow of the real MC but if author was trying to present him to readers atleast make his personality consistent and firm not him having mixed feelings about his eventual slave and betrayed birch of a friend. Sunless is basically a regdoll who doesn't gets taken seriously in his own story. Maybe author was trying to do something different but it's not really realistic sometimes and it's a pity cuz it is a good story but the idea of the MC not being the MC is just out of place

      What I did was skip the back half of forgotten shore and back half of 2nd nightmare because I was close to dropping it as well, but the novel doesn't fail at all past chapter 800 really good from there, then I went back to re read them because its very addicting from Antarctica arc onwards

      PS spoiler somewhat but sunny is no longer tied as a slave but I get what you mean by neph leading sunny around, still feels like nephis is the main character even tho sunny is no longer a slave and the romance feels kinda forced. Still have to rate ss as #1 novel tho, haven't read something this addicting yet and I've read hundreds of webnovels

        Even though I said I would stop I still keep going back, it has a lot of positive reviews. I just have to skim through this second nightmare because where I am right now is where cassie is asking him for help before the second nightmare and I'm not really feeling this fake friendship vibe I'm getting. The annoying part of this whole slave situation was not that he was a slave to begin with, it was just the final straw. Its the way sunny is being portrayed as a side character ever since neph was introduced, at least I could ignore it but after that C350 it hit me that sunny was a side character. The author also makes sure to always remind the readers about it every time, it's not something I can just ignore (I'm seeing sh¡t like flame keepers) because the story is actually good and I want to see how far sunny goes. I don't have the habit of stopping a novel halfway especially one this good.
