Jin Rou wanted to be a cultivator who defied the heavens, and surpassed all limits.

Unfortunately for him, he died, and now I’m stuck here. Arrogant young masters? Heavenly tribulations? Cultivating for days on end, then getting into life or death battles?

Yeah, no thanks. I’m getting out of here.

In which a transmigrator decides that the only winning move is not to play. Collapse

The MC wakes up in the body of Jin Rou, an outer disciple of the Cloudy Sword Sect just beaten to death by an inner disciple. He quickly realises that he is in “magical china land” but doesn’t want anything to do with the crazy and murderous cultivators - so he says Fu#k This, leaves the sect, and buys a plot of land with the aim of becoming a farmer.

It's a rather light and casual story for the most part, following the perspectives of Jin Rou, Big D, and various other animals that join the farm along the way. It portrays both the joys and troubles they face in their everyday life, courtesy of the slice-of-life tag, but there is a comedic vibe to many of the character interactions and scenes.
The romance starts suddenly and moves quickly, but it was handled well and is pleasant to read.
Cultivation, although not the focus, is still a theme of the story and there are some minor, but well-written, fight scenes too.

Personally I enjoyed it. If you’re looking for a story with a cheery atmosphere and an easygoing, carefree protagonist this could be for you.

Note: This book was written for those who have already read some Xianxia/Xuanhuan before it. At base-form it’s an irreverent subversion of the ’transmigrating to a cultivation world’ trope, and there are plenty of references and insider-jokes for you to enjoy if you already have experience in the genre.

No exaggeration. One of the best books on the site. Probably the funniest.

This is finally on here, I was expecting it, took longer than I thought. This is a very good novel. Just so everyone knows this is not a story about cultivation. It's a slice of life about a cultivator running a farm. It's written very well and every chapter has a good amount of content. It's also very interesting, especially when they get to the chapters about the female cultivator. I'd definitely recommend everyone to have a read.
