Su Chen has a Profession Panel by his side. By collecting profession information and fulfilling the conditions, he can assume a profession.

【Bedrock Fighter】 promotes to 【Flesh and Blood Emperor】!

【Puppet Master】 promotes to 【Mecha Saint Lord】!

A smooth path lies at his feet, so he is cautious and meticulous, advancing step by step, until--

【The Flesh and Blood Emperor despises you for dawdling and lacking the will to bravely forge forward, and has decided to increase the difficulty of assuming the profession.】

【The Dark Night Fate Artificer covets you, has decided to skip the profession requirements and let you assume the profession directly.】

【Warrior】 devoured 【Gale Walker】 and evolved into 【Sky Splitter Warrior】.

Gemini Description:

In a city where an artificial sun dictates who lives, knowledge of Power is the deadliest monopoly.

Su Chen was destined to be disposable cannon fodder in the twisted games of the elite.

But his secret breaks the ironclad laws of this world: the Professions within his body possess a mind of their own.

When faced with impossible advancement conditions, they ruthlessly devour each other and rewrite reality itself, all just to please their master.

From a disenfranchised outcast to an apex predator lurking in the shadows.

He must walk a razor's edge through a labyrinth of aristocratic betrayals, treacherous mentors, and the maddening whispers of eldritch gods.

One wrong step doesn't just mean death—it means mutating into a mindless horror consumed by the endless mist.

When the ancient entities cast their greedy gazes upon the mortal realm, who is the hunter, and who is the prey? Collapse

Genre: "Steampunk cthulhu references in urban fantasy alternate world."

Especially considering how generic the title might make it seem, it is infect an OK read. The MC is pragmatic and morally gray...careful, somewhat cunning, but not completely heartless. His cheat is useful without being overpowered, which makes his progression feel more balanced and earned.

The story itself is fairly straightforward, with a fast pace and a few interesting twists. One of the better aspects is the side characters...they’re competent, sometimes even smarter than the MC, which helps the world feel less shallow.

It’s not a masterpiece, but it’s definitely one of the better “profession”-type novels out there. A great pick for newer readers, and still a decent, enjoyable read for veterans looking for something light.

It's funny because you can see the exact moment in chapter two where the author decided his MC would have no personality to speak of, just another mindless benefit drone.

Dropping at ch5. If someone who's read more can testify the MC is an actual character in later chapters, I might give it another chance, the setting seems interesting.

meh story, meh premise, meh system. The system has a very interesting premise but the author did not execute it well at all and is just using it to give our mc gifts to become more powerful earlier.

Hard-working off the bat so the mc is the same guy from chapter 1 to the last chapter I read. Would be cool if he was battling something else like saitama but he's not.

Side characters had potential, I thought, but they don't actually later on. (I'm at chapter 40, potential was shown chapter 12 or so)

Characters are very much not unique nor interesting to read. The only cool thing would be on the power system which is kinda ruined due to how strange it is, with no further elaboration as to why or how professions exist nor freedom within them for the most part.
The only interesting part is that there are a few growth avenues (varied professions, mastering varied techniques and pretty cool abilities here and there) so anyone who likes power progression would enjoy binging this, but at that point do something else actually enjoyable.

More of an addiction read than a good read. Below average or straight up bad story. Above average (addicting in a bad way, i.e. junk food) for power progression readers, but know it's not worth your time.

Rating 3-4/10. Potential is there if you hallucinate, but atleast it does the bare minimum of being your average mid novel
Addiction rating 5-6/10. You want to read more and more to see what abilities he unlocks and how but you know when you finish you'll feel like you wasted your time and beat yourself over it.

Картон, быстро надоедает, сюжет очень скучный, единственное что вызывает некоторый интерес это взаимодействия его профессий. Если вы искушенный читатель то через 50-100 глав вам станет скучно

Hmm since the advent of the new epoch there has been a quintessential rise of
    C²T¹ULU DAO Ascendant sagas.

Hmm very sus, is the fact that fellow daoists haven't noticed/deliberated this yiN uprising.

P.S - Is this due to accumulation of evil Qi, due the arrival of the chaøtic era warfare in THE AXIS Domain Plane TERRA

    Poison: Overpowered MC
The main character becomes too strong too quickly, which removes any sense of suspense or tension. However, the power system is original and the world-building is fairly solid (fortunately, the story doesn’t focus only on the main character, which somewhat saves the novel).

If you enjoy immersing yourself in a universe with many characters and well-developed world-building, but without much tension, this story is for you.

Rating update 9.5/10 was thinking of just rating it a straight up 10/10 but later on in the review I wrote down some downsides that I didn’t even consider myself until I wrote it down so I can’t really justify the 10/10 but it definitely is a 9.5

Caught up to chapter 100 would have done it earlier but I was busy doing stuff anyways here’s the second part of my review gonna be less big and less info but I’m actually gonna tag this as a review so yeah you click review on the filter for comments and see this now

Anyways a bit of an upgrade on the settings revealed later on not a huge spoiler since it was literally just introduced in the chapters I read but turns out this is a semi sci-fi world which I kind of can see being explained earlier with a “light screen” with seemingly the internet but I thought it was some magic bullshit but it makes sense if they have some tech professions but it was explained as a “mix of old and new” so it’s probably just gonna be a introduce when needed thing for the novel

For the part about the puzzle pieces being incomplete? That is actually something I’ve only experienced in one other novel and although I feel like it’s a bit sketch to compare the two for some non plot related reasons feel similarities between Lord of the Mysteries and this novel both carving out more information out of the world although Lord of the Mysteries was infinitely more complex and the comparison kind of makes this novel feel more shallow which is kind of a discredit due to this novel having its own upsides and very little downsides

The characters I like they have reasons to do what they are doing though some are introduced late and don’t have enough time to reveal more weaknesses or motivations I just feel like it’s biggest limitation was it’s limited set space within this first arc which basically concluded at chapter 100 didn’t feel like the amount of background characters that appeared all over were still here kinda felt like it was a ghost town though I don’t know what it would add it would’ve been nice to see more

The power system is still great and it’s being explored in directions I honestly didn’t see coming it’s a kind of check it out yourself situation it does come up early in the 50-100 chapter range so I liked that do hope we see more of it and seeing how modular it seemingly is we probably will

It seems a lot of people drop this fairly early. I'm enjoying it so far. While I wouldn't rate it as high as you did, it is indeed above average so far. I'd go with an 8 simply because there's not enough info yet about the world itself.
