My Professions Have Too Much Personality

9/10 not a ten because it’s not that gratifying to read I don’t feel that instant pull to read it for hours without notice but I’ve had it happen only for around 30 chapters before I broke out of it

I’ll just make my review at chapter 50 if I get to chapter 100 it’ll be by tomorrow and this amount of chapters is enough I feel like

This part in writing despite being almost done with the review I’m putting at the very top because this is important although the main character has been impotent so far at chapter 50 and his reputation has been dug through the mud as you will see reading by yourself this novel is not a harem Atleast at this point and I don’t think it will ever be with the speed of the main characters advancements or Atleast future advancements

If there is a harem in the future trust me THE GREAT HAREM DETECTIVE as a loyal subject of the #NOHAREM sect I will sniff out any dirty polygamy and BRING IT TO JUSTICE!!! Do not worry you worrysome readers!

The main character himself is pragmatic he isn’t going out to kill a bunch of people but if someone doesn’t know their place he’s gonna show them their seat on the bottom of his boot or if he can fleece some resources then you are thinking 10 steps behind because he’s halfway to getting all he can get

He isn’t afraid of taking risks either many times between taking a step back to safety or a risk that will benefit him in the future he will take that risk and won’t leave his fate in others hands and if he feels like his weakness is in others head he makes sure they can’t speak it

The characters themselves aren’t badly developed or written it just mainly feels like a first person novel despite being third person it’s just very focused on the main character despite somewhat frequent scene changes to see what others are up to which means to me it’s like completing half a puzzle sure it’s incomplete but you know it gets better because it’s only half done honestly feels like I should have kept to reading 100 chapters based on that alone

The word count per chapter is great as well I constantly have to check the chapter number because chapter 50 in this novel is equivalent to chapter 80 in another which is another reason why I’m excited to continue reading because I want to see how things go further

So basically how the power system works is kind of… cucked? What I mean specifically is what his power says he can do in the description is something everyone can theoretically do which is why I said that his specialty in reality is his conscious professions

Edit 1: What I mean more specifically is that the upgrades his professions get and become different types are something other people can get he just gets them easier and without trouble other people can also theoretically take as many professions as they want not just the main character it’s just that they don’t have enough effort to train them all which the main character doesn’t either which is why the devouring mechanic makes all the difference

How they are conscious is at this point a [is pleased] or [Is motivated] every once in a while and that means barely at all but it’s early so it’s not apparent they can also on their own lessen the requirements which brings me to the second part of his personal power system which is a panel system type which doesn’t have anything like a stat panel

The part in the description about the powers upgrading is through devouring for example if [X] eats [Y] you get [XXY] which has the power of both but the dominate is the one who devoured the other and if [XXY] gets consumed by [ZZY] it becomes [THE LEGENDARY X-Y-Z DRAGON CANNON!]

He can also upgrade them naturally which has requirements same with accepting them in the first place the panel also shows a bit more which just gets explained later

It showcases the requirements for him to upgrade his professions as well like becoming a cloud fisherman (something I made up) by dragging 100 clouds this is something that has to be discovered by himself or divulged by the professions themselves for example if he gets a piece of paper or get told how to advance it will auto update with that information but it has multiple requirements to unlock which the professions can if they are pleased make it easier on him or displeased and make it harder on him

For example if he says “pshh cloud fisherman are nothing” it would go [The cloud fisherman is displeased it now takes 150 clouds to pull to accept the profession]
or “wow amazing such cool I love cloud fisherman” then it would go [The cloud fisherman is pleased it will only take 50 clouds to pull to accept the profession] or for example [Cloud fisherman is eyeing the Flying idiot profession] [The flying idiot is displeased and bears its teeth], [The cloud fisherman has attacked and lost to the flying idiot profession it has become the Idiotic Skyfish profession] [It has inherited both abilities from the professions]
