Overnight, the entire apartment complex transmigrated to a primitive, wilderness world full of biological anomalies.

Survival became the very first hurdle. Food, water, disease, wild beasts, mutated creatures… Just as the residents finally start to adapt, they despairingly discover—it was only the beginning.

Every time they survive a certain period, the complex transmigrates again, each time to a more dangerous zone.

But fortune favors the prepared — each home in the complex is a foldable space, expandable with the right cards. Inside, they can construct buildings, farm land, dig for water, raise pets, even build recruitment centers…

Qin Ziwen, one of the residents, awakens the unique ability: “Daily Settlement” — allowing him to “settle” the day at midnight and receive graded rewards based on his performance.

“A survival game? I thought I was playing a management sim.” Collapse

Daoist Inkdrunkwanderer's Review — Our Apartment Complex Transmigrated… Again

This is a solid read with a strong premise, especially in the early stages.

What makes it stand out from similar stories is the focus on group dynamics. Instead of just following the MC, the story gives attention to the entire apartment complex, which makes the world feel more alive. The setting is more on the low-fantasy side at first, with gradual expansion (and yes… dinosaurs eventually), which keeps things interesting.

The MC is smart, driven, and focused on self-improvement, which makes him easy to follow. He’s not the type to drag others down either....he supports growth in his group while being ruthless toward enemies. There’s no harem?, and the “bros’ bro” dynamic is a nice change of pace.

However, there are some issues as the story progresses.

The MC becomes increasingly overpowered and rarely faces real consequences, often getting through dangerous situations without injury. The pacing of his growth could have been handled better. Around the mid-late chapters, the story starts to lose some of its initial appeal....more characters are introduced, but many of them feel bland or overly similar. Dialogue can feel unnatural or overly sentimental, and some supporting characters come across as too obedient or one-dimensional.

Despite that, the story remains engaging enough, especially if you enjoy survival settings with group dynamics and steady progression.

Overall, it starts strong, dips a bit later, but is still worth checking out.

    — Daoist Inkdrunkwanderer,
A strong beginning must be carried, not assumed.

The title and synopsis say 'transmigrated' but really it's just an isekai (or whatever the Chinese word for that is), unless all the people in the apartment possess different bodies each transportation. swindler

I understand your point a little with the 'no romance, no harem' tags that some authors put. It just seems a little desperate to me.
Either A: They're so worried about someone thinking that there might be romance/harem that they decide to preemptively signal that their isn't any.
Or B: They want to attract the edge lords who hate either of those 2 tags.

Funnily enough, the possibility of B is mainly what puts me off. If an author is purposely trying to attract edge lords because that's his target audience, then there's a good possibility I won't like what he has to write.

I don't have a problem with a story not having romance, but when the absence of it becomes a marketing point it just seems corny, desperate and suspicious.

HOWEVER. Your point about the kingdom building is a miss. That's a peak tag! finger

I missed a coma I did not mean to say no harem and no romance was specifically slop but I do agree it’s like setting up a stall selling food then saying “this food does not have radiation” like people were expecting it out of the box when they would only do so if it had explicitly said “we sell radiation food”

    As of chapter 20

This is a survival novel with a SIMS type system. I didn’t find it that enjoyable, because the characters are more stupid than in reality.
    probably around 3.5/10 novel
