I definitely do not recommend this.

Imagine it like this, the first 20 chapters? Boring. right? You force yourself to read thinking it gets better. But these boring fillers will frequently appear throughout the whole novel. The climax feels satisfying bcoz you see MC aactually doing something other than stalking side characters just bcoz they catch his minute interest.

This is only novel I read where Side characters gets more screentime than the supporting characters

It's mid. Author tried his best to copy RI but did not succeed
MC- rational, practical. A little sadist. Very little character development throughout.
Overall 6/10
Side character- lack of connection and creativity. Very little impactful 4/10
World building- seemed good at starting but then the scaling kept getting odd and odd. Most generic 5/10
Don't expect much 6/10 overall

The AI chip threw me off🫴😭wth I thought this was a fantasy/cultivator story why we got AI all of a sudden. it was not for me,I can barely tolerate cultivations and futuristic novels but this really double down on what I dislike. Not for me I guess

This is not an novel but monologue of mc there is no character development for anyone everything happens as mc plan some times accident happen but since mc is mc nothing much happens I have read up to chapter 400 and now I only see this novel as mc story telling author think all reader has memory of gold fish that's why whenever ancient magi topic comes he always and "ALWAYS SAYS" in ancient magi era magi was supreme they conquere the world's plundered there rss made locals slaves experiment on them bla. Bla bla every funking time he says this or praise there glory since chapter 1 to 400 I cannot imagine how many times I have read that if you want op mc who doesn't work hard has awesome cheat on whose laptop woman fortune encounter fall left and right whose character clearly inspired from fang yuan but without any reason fang yuan character didn't just pop out it had a background story a reason why he become what he is but this mc is like this without any reason

The novel is decent. Among the Chinese web novels I've read, this one feels the closest to Western fantasy. In fact, it’s good enough to be considered a proper fantasy novel.

As for the flaws, the author has a very typical schoolboy mentality, which shows in everything. Still, he’s not unintelligent. Up until the World of Gods arc, the story is highly engaging. The author manages to make the protagonist’s morality deliberately ambiguous without overdoing it. However, in World of Gods, the provocativeness becomes excessive. This arc isn’t particularly great, but it’s also not as bad as something like War for Mountains And Seas. by Er Gen(ISStH).
