The Oracle Paths by Arkinslize

Glad I'm not the only one that thinks Amy was a major missed opportunity. Though to be honest, he just has a terrible track record with writing female characters. It's almost like he doesn't have anyone he can use as a point of reference with how badly written they usually are; not just girlfriends or whatever, they're usually bad enough I somehow find myself questioning if he even has female relatives or literally any women in any way involved in his life.

Amy was actually a pretty solid character... Until she just went stupid for no reason. Similarly, Ruby started off ok but when transforming her into a villainess he did entirely too good of a job making her someone everyone hated, and the sympathy scenes that were intended to offset that and set the stage for a future romance didn't come anywhere near to generating the level of sympathy required to make her anything but despicable... He kind of wrote himself into a corner trying to set her up as the primary romance for the story while also making her a major antagonist by doing too good of a job making her antagonistic.

Sarah started off terrible, improved substantially as time passed and became a character I was starting to like (not even as a romantic interest just in general) and then in a fairly limited amount of time got absolutely terrible again. I don't even remember the blond princess girls name, Luke or something like it I think. Her personality is basically "Manly man, the manliest man of them all!" Except when she's giggling and swearing undying love to the MC. Forgettable is an understatement with her, despite how much screen time she has been getting of late, and the tonal shifts between when she's trying to interact with Jake (where she acts like a 15 year old girl interacting with Robert Pattinson back in the Twighlight days) and all the rest of the time is downright jarring. Really though, she still somehow manages to be boring and generally forgettable.

The pink haired princesses Esya and Enya become likable and rather fun, but the author clearly doesn't share the sentiment because they're somehow firmly in the background even in the scenes they are featured, and almost all of the rest of the female characters are extreme caricatures of either hateful and vile villains or slutty seductresses, often both.

Xi is without a doubt the best written female character in the novel. But back to Amy? She could have been another good one if she hadn't suddenly turned into a ditzy fan girl. Too often that's what happens. When a girl gets introduced they usually follow one of the extreme caricature models, but on occasion they don't and they seems to be pretty ok for a while, but then they usually just go completely stupid out of nowhere. Xi is the only one who has been able to become a strong character without having a complete mental or personality meltdown. And I guess the pink haired princesses haven't really gone full stupid without an in-story justification, but they started off pretty stupid and had to grow into being better characters. Which is part of why I find them more likable than the others. They haven't suddenly seen a squirrel and decided that they now need to go join up with the cannibal faction, or done something else similarly "wtf why would they even for a moment think this was a good idea?"

That's not a terribly high standard.

I think author just gets influenced by any thing he reads like he 1st planned Sarah as a gold digger bitch ,then he thought that going with emotional support route according to which i think mc should have pushed her down by the end of 3rd ordeal .But this guy watched hentai with those bossy bitch who get mind controled and Fu#ked senseless and thought why not make Sarah like that by explaining it as the vixen got overconfident due to her bloodline and also tried to show that blood is thicker than water by that asshole cousin bonding shits
