Jacob Steve, an Old Man, died at 116 after living a whole life.

But Jacob always had a dark side, which he always suppressed and hid from others.
However, in the later years of his life, when death was inevitable, he understood there wasn't any point in having wealth, knowledge, or desires if you couldn't have a life to enjoy them.

He became obsessed with fabled immortality and devoted his reaming life to extending his fleeting lifespan, but just like any other failed.

However, he mysteriously got another chance at life and found a way that led to fabled immortality.
But he was also forewarned that the way led to it was filled with blood and darkness!

In the end, Jacob chose it anyway with no way of going back, and it was also the start of his suffering and his icky, brutal journey toward the 'Immortality' he wanted so badly! Collapse

The novel is great; dark, ruthless, anti-hero, and a unique concept. However, this author is really good at slow releases and ending with hooks! evil be warned

I simply cannot take this novel seriously because the MC has a first name for his last name. I mean, couldn't the the author have gone with Stevens or something, instead of Jacob Steve. That's like saying David Henry. Sounds weird.

Bro that's the first time I'm hearing someone can't take a Novel serious cause the name is the problem! On top of that, your complaining about such a masterpiece. (+the name isn't weird either)

You should see the novel Netheril's Glory. The MC's name is literally PUNK. Like who the f#ck gives that name to a character. I had to edit the name into something else to make the novel readable.

This novel is pretty interesting with a well made universe and power systems, but it's frustrating that the MC is often heavily behind the power curve of his enemies. This results in him having to run, hide, face constant harassment, and even be enslaved/forced to work for certain groups. He eventually gets ahead of that group of enemies but guess what, the author has a new set of enemies ready that are 100X more powerful/well connected/experienced/etc.
I'm all for the MC facing challenges and working through those, but there is a point where it's too much and the MC needs to figure something out so that they aren't just someone's toy for 100+ chapters.
