Dropped at 106, early chapters are good, just the subsequent ones often keep on dragging the story on…

I had a lot of fun reading this, it's something where you can relax enjoy the journey.

I honestly quite liked this one, the MTL translation wasn’t unreadable. I finished this book in a couple of days, the ending was kind of disappointing, like he completes his life goal and the book ends. There’s way more to explore and he can get way stronger. So maybe there will be a sequel. It’s pretty interesting if you don’t mind the MTL which wasn’t even that bad.

Chapters beyond 60 are MTL. Some are bad enough that it is hard to understand. I liked the novel but i have to drop it due to the MTL quality.

This is sort of like "The Great Mechanic" where the MC becomes a regular small NPC in the game shortly before players arrive. He becomes a cultivator and establishes a sect primarily to allow players to feed him points.

Unlike the Great Mechanic, noone seems to realize what the players are, or are the least bit curious. The world building isn't as good either.

The MC seems to have no real goals save to get stronger. He does believe that something is pushing him, because everything is happening too fast. He has no relationships with anyone, a talking weapon and a tree that is becoming spiritual are the only things he ever really has a conversation with. Brief conversations with other NPCs of course.

The MC doesn't really negotiate with anyone. Nor plan things to keep the players occupied and out of trouble. He simply rules and expects the sect to do whatever he says and quashes any objection by force. Not very charismatic at all, and his character sucks. He's like - someone offended me, so I'll annhilate their entire sect - kind of person.

Plot? Not really much of one. An emperor is dying so there are rebellions everywhere, non human tribes outside of the empire that like to make beast tides and cause trouble, and players keep releasing sealed demons from the abyss to rampage and kill millions.

A poor cousin compared to the Great Mechanic. I'd rate this like a 3.

The story itself is good, the first 20 to 30 chapters have excellent translation quality, then it becomes mediocre then between chapter 50 and 60 so does the quality do a nose dive, it becomes mtl without proofreading, but it isn't the worst mtl translation quality you can find, it is pretty okey for being mtl.
