Diary of Dead Wizard is NOT an action novel.
It's mostly mystery, horror, and a little bit of comedy.
Saul has to figure out ways he can advance and grow, not only to be powerful, but to learn more!
The mysteries and how he solves them are always unexpected, and while most of his encounters do little to help him grow, they shed light on the mysteries of the Dying Wizard World.
If you want a chill novel that makes you chuckle while having enough action and growth to be intresting, this is the novel for you.

This novel is good. Already read the mtl, although the mc did not reach the peak level, the author did a good job finishing the story, just a pity it has a great world background, hope the author will write different novel in the same universe.

The guy below just laid it all out the story holds no substance after a couple of chapters I'm just forcing myself to finish this bs just so I can go read the second part of Lord of the Mysteries

Had potential but fell off in the middle.

Let’s start with mc, he’s from earth. But considering how author utilizes this trait he might’ve been from anywhere else it wouldn’t have changed a thing. Instead of utilizing earthly knowledge like in Throne of Magical Arcana for example, our guy just mauls over a problem. Also, constant performances, with or without a need, just to suddenly turn the tables and aura farm are tiring.

Magic system, underdeveloped. Every problem's solution or new spell creation happens off-screen after chapter of watery explanations or mauling sudden realization structs, "Ahh, so it’s like that!" or "So it can be used this way!" The only exception might be the tower arc, but I’m not sure, and I'm not rereading it. Also, while there seems to be one rule for magic—that knowledge —we quickly find out it’s not about mc.

Regarding the different races. After tower arc I expected something similar in others. Even though I think for mc to figure out the whole situation with and discover one of the world's core secrets in like 30 chapters is meh. But even though the became less than a background threat for the rest of the novel, at least they got some time in a dedicated mini-arc that explored their premise. As for the other races, yeah.

World points of interest, I dunno, in the tower arc is as good as it gets, but maybe it’s me.

It's fine. a little janky compare to wizard tower arc but I enjoyed it overall.

BS story, don't bother on this unlike you like forced trouble plot for MC...Yes..author adds troubles to MC'S life unnecessarily...Kinda sad this had a lot of potential ...and it's botched

Бросил на 270 главе. То что герой остался жив (да и в принципе дожл до этого момента) после этой арки просто произвол автора.

The author should not have continued writing the story after the adventures in the tower. Everything that worked well when the hero was studying to become a wizard in the tower doesn't work well in the open world. Additionally, the author changed the personalities of previous characters for no reason.
I thought that the competition and extreme cruelty in the tower were there to teach the students to rely only on their own strength, not to trust anyone, and to get rid of their weaknesses. But no, it turned out that the author wrote it for no reason.
