How do I read it directly MTL or translated? What is the best?

One of the craziest novels i've ever read in my decade-long experience of reading cultivation novels.

Mc started naive, but quickly adapted to his situation; he understand that playing the long game was the way to go.

World building? I'm 250 chapters in (in MTL), and i would say that i'm only exposed to tiny bit of the whole world. Good introduction that helped readers to immerse in the story.

Side characters? Simply peak. All three-dimensional, each have depths and reasoning.

Plot? Whole another level. I must say, i've taken the cultivation world concept like how described like the stories in other books - qi gathering are ants, foundation building are bigger ants. But in this novel, the author more likely put the readers in a 'mortal perspective' in literal sense. You cannot simply underestimate even qi gathering cultivators as they all possess qualification to 'transcend' mortality. What more for foundation establishment cultivators? Gold core cultivators? And higher?

This novel really shows that hoping to embark cultivation is hard, and being a cultivator is harder. The brutal truth of "All things between heaven and earth are pawns" in cultivation world can't be further emphasized in this novel. A really good interpretation of the depth of the cultivation world.

Easily one of the best in this particular novel genre. Really.

The first thing you should know about this novel is that it perfectly represents what realistic cultivation is all аbout: calamity!

Death accompanies you at every step, even if you fight with all your might and overcome every challenge, you may still end up dying without even knowing who stabbed you from behind.

Just being strong isn't enough, neither is being clever, not even luck can save you from becoming someone else's opportunity.

No one who has lived long enough in this twisted world is normal or ordinary, they are all old monsters and foxes waiting for you to dance on stage like a clown and then share everything you have. From wealth to your body and soul.

Without even realizing it, you'll walk step by step towards the precipice, have every possibility of retreat or struggle taken away from you and when you're on the edge, you'll be kicked by everyone you trust and love. This is calamity, a fight against your own destiny, world and people.

That said, let's talk a bit about the world and its cultivation system.

If you're transmigrated to this world without a cheat, it's best to remain a mortal, because by the time you step onto the path to immortality, you may have already been calculated 5 times and unknowingly turned into a wedding dress for someone else.

Nothing in this world comes easy or for free, cultivating is like climbing a mountain of swords, with people at your level kicking you to fall, people below you pulling you and trying to turn you into their opportunity and then there are those veterans above you throwing huge piles of stones to crush you.

Learning from each death, he walks step by step to the top, seizing every opportunity, stabbing his superiors and kicking his juniors, his smile not indicating sympathy or kindness, but how much money he will make by selling you and your family out.

This is basically a summary of the work, now let's move on to the positive and negative points.

After building the foundation, the novel uses a lot of Chinese concepts, phrases and thoughts, so you'll probably have to create your own dictionary/glossary or skip it. It's not a flood of information, but it is repeated here and there.

For those who like a cultivation where each realms is important, you'll love this novel. Unlike other works where each kingdom doesn't seem any different from the other, here each step has its own difference and makes a big impression on the reader.

If you're expecting a fair and correct MC, I'm sorry to tell you that this world doesn't allow it, anyone who is like that is either a trap or already dead and doesn't know it.
