Wow I didn’t even know the story about this author in China. I remember liking him, as Douluo dalu was one of my earliest and favorite novels/manhua’s back in the day so I remember glazing him, especially since he seemed like a respectable man with how he took care of his wife according to his author notes and his career path up to there. But I heard everything went downhill with him after her death. There’s a pretty good Reddit post explaining, titled : [Web Novels] One author's modest proposal and the purge that followed: how the darling of the Chinese industry became mocked as the
    "grade schoolers' favorite pornographic novelist".

It’s a pretty long post but this was written at the end so I copied from the post: TL;DR: Web novel author submits proposal to Chinese government to set standards for web novels. Censors purge novels on two popular websites months later (millions of novels, including RI). Angry readers decry the author's hypocrisy for writing sexual content and supporting polygamy. Others accuse author of taking down the competition by reporting novels for having inappropriate content. Author then makes people mad again a year later by defending a new controversial contract despised by most web novel authors, while bringing up the anniversary of his wife's death to fob off critics. His haters are so worked up they spread rumors to make him look worse. It turns out the author was wrongly blamed for the purge because the purge was planned by the censors even before the author had submitted his proposal.

Now I’m not fully sure if the claim that the author was wrongfully blamed is fully correct, maybe it is, but I do know his writing quality has gone down and he did do his wife dirty at times. Maybe the Chinese government really were planning to do a crackdown on novels like the redditor is saying, so TJSS was somewhat wrongfully put on full blast, but he did get benefits from it because he’s not a simple author anymore, he’s a politician with many connections now. I only read this long Reddit post so I don’t have much knowledge on the subject of course so I may be wrong on things

I dont really get the hate. My bro Tang Jia San Shao is just out here quietly writing his own MCU and they are all just fine from what Ive read so far.
And this one is no different. You can describe it like a pop song; it's catchy and fun, maybe some creativity in there but definitely reuses the same rhythm, lyric structure, subject matter, and instruments.
