What do you do when you wake up and find yourself inside the very game that you love? What do you do when you realize you that you have not only become an NPC — you have even been thrown back in time to before the game even launched!

What will happen when our protagonist’s two realities coincide?

Han Xiao was a professional power leveler before his transmigration. Using his past life’s knowledge, Han Xiao sweeps through the universe as he prepares for the arrival of the players. This is definitely not your typical transmigration novel. Collapse

Highly recommending reading this only thing I’m sad about is the ending could’ve been a little longer.

    Notable things:
    Rpg transmigration
    Almost OP
    Great world building

    Verdict: highly recommended to read

Reason: only one less point from perfect; romance and wasted potential about 500+ more chapters could be squeezed. Great overall

Mech touch but it’s a lot of filler in the later chapters. Super gene also technically sci fi.

Tldr; This is a must read story, but maybe skip the player filler content.

This is an amazing story. I have reread this story probably five times, and I still love it. However, there are issues with it.

My biggest gripe is the story focused around the players. The addition of the players is not an issue, just the story that gets focused on. Personally, rereading the story I can't stand the pro league content. It has no real impact on the narrative of the story and is literally just filler. I also hate the gambling section at about chapter 300. It just feels misplaced. There are a few things like this throughout, mainly centered around the player story that I personally don't like. There's also the Chinese glazing as well, which some people had an issue with—but it's whatever.

However, if you do like it, then all the better. The story, disregarding the player filler, is fantastic. The settings, the action, the politics, all of it is good. I really don't have anything bad to say about it other than the player content.

I strongly recommend everyone reads this at least once, it is one of my favorite stories.

I was torn apart between writing a spoiler free or spoiler review, but settled on spoiler free because there is way too many things I'd want to say if I wrote a spoiler one.

For me, this novel works the same as Naruto did. For a long time I thought that Naruto was a masterpiece with no flaws, but growing up I realized it's plothole ridden and rarely makes sense. Yet, I still love Naruto with all my heart, and not entirely due to nosralgia; but for the authenticity of the world around.

Same thing with The Legendary Mechanic. When I first read it and was a teenager, it immediately got into my best novels ever read category, firmly. Rereading it years later 20 years old, I see just how plothole ridden this thing is. Definitely a lot of flaws if you are an experienced reader/consumer. And yet I still loved rereading, for the simple fact of an absolutely great universe building. Seriously, I love the thought behind it, and how 'real' it feels.

There are definitely more pros then cons. Yet, if I firmly take the glasses of nostalgia off, it's genuinely not the absolute best out there. Hopefully this won't tank my like/dislike meter lmfao

I dunno, there's been plenty of Fourth Disaster/Player novels with an NPC MC ever since TLM was released and none of them are anywhere near as good as it. TLM still remains as my favourite webnovel even after all these years of rereading it.

Wow, this is really overrated. Average feels like a generous rating. The story is predictable, the protag knows every hidden motive, leaving no suspense. The protaganist himself is just bland. The only thing somewhat unique is his class, but the battles and leveling aren't very engaging.
So far there are no real supporting characters, the protaganist seems incapable of bonding with anyone.

    Tried 100 chapters, dropping.
