Ahhh I remember the days when I was smitten to novel like these .


Good ol days

This book is a real gem, an excellent novel. It's a true lesson in how to create characters, develop their personalities, and build their charisma. While the dialogue may take some time to get used to, the quality of the story remains impressive. The romance is subtle but deeply authentic, and although the protagonist is strong, throughout the story, he encounters even more powerful characters. This is clearly a story meant to be long, so don't expect a fixed purpose within the first 100 chapters. There will be characters you love and others you don't, just like in any good book. And yes, the quality may have dipped slightly in the last few chapters, but I believe it’s just temporary.

Regarding the criticism, yes, there is a lesbian couple that appears later in the story, but that doesn’t define their personalities. They’re just a couple, and not even the main one. Honestly, it takes a very narrow-minded person to drop a story because of that.

And as a small side note, I think it's a waste that the author chose this format of publication; they should seek out a publisher to develop the work more thoroughly, as the audience that consumes this kind of content is used to shallow, quick novels with one-dimensional characters and unnecessary +18 scenes.

Only good thing is it's in proper English.

Literally not finding it funny as everyone is saying MC is soo idiotic Like - that he won't call or msg his wife that he'll be back or something before tower descends i mean like he knew that it'll happen then won't his wife be panicked he said airports closed 15 days later then she'll come to LA and be stuck there without her child or husband ( afterall Rick(a stranger) might or might not get to her after that tower descent)😞 skipping his family day and 3 months before tower 👎 inside tower acting like mad for no reason just to not go with others 👎then everyone talk and act like bulshiting 17yr olds no simple conversation all like sucklickfock 😞really such utter noviceness how it's getting high rating 😵

And yes I read further but it's literally crap soo much bs by mc and people(maybe author himself by different profiles) commenting it's humour -_-

sigh...early romance and a tsundre from the first ch. looks like its not for me.

It’s too good for a regression tower novel so I’ll drop

So I think the story seriously drops after the first book. I think I am going to stop around chapter 125. The main problem is that the story is not going anywhere. There is an end goal, but it is SO FAR AHEAD this story will most likely never end. It took about 100 chapters just for the first floor, and looking ahead the 2nd floor is cleared around chapter 248. Keep in mind there are 100 floors for the Tower alone. And then there are hints that even after that there is another area with people competing. So if it keeps at the current pace, to reach floor 100 we are looking at something like 10,000 to 15,000 chapters. So yea, this story will probably never end.

The other issue I have is that there starts to be lots of gay and lesbian stuff in book 2 which I don't like. It is almost like they just had to start to be included in mass for some reason. Although skipping ahead it looks like stops going down that road so that might be fine.

Overall the first book was very good. Decent humor and characters. The fighting was pretty good too, even though it was hard to really understand the status of how the fights are going. One moment they are all in dire straights and then they win almost immediately after for example.

Novel is very good in the beginning, however it looses the spark it had in the beginning. The author begins to get lazy, and the characters stop getting developed. Also one of the most exciting things being Cain's humor starts to visibly dull by chapter 100 - 130. The story is ok with out, and the world development is pitiful. In the beginning the weak world development was easy to ignore, however it it became more and more obvious as you went through. I would still recommend, but don't expect anything amazing, just a pretty okay novel.
