Waking up, Kim Hajin finds himself in a familiar world but an unfamiliar body. A world he created himself and a story he wrote, yet never finished. He had become his novel’s extra, a filler character with no importance to the story. The only clue to escaping is to stay close to the main storyline. However, he soon finds out the world isn’t exactly identical to his creation. Collapse

Alright, I haven't finished the novel yet (in fact, I'm only at chapter 250 pressure ) but I just wanted to say that my favorite thing about this novel is the characters. The drama between them is quite enticing and the reasons to have the drama feel pretty natural, and it actually makes me feel tension from fights and such, and that just makes this novel so good, like I swear, I'm liking this novel a LOT so far.

Ok I'm done now and I gotta say, this novel is really REALLY good. I don't know why people think it got worse over time
, but I quite liked it. And the ending, I know a lot of people didn't like, but to me, it was a nice way of wrapping things up, breaking off lose ends, and was overall just wholesome where everyone
      got a happy ending.

Good news!! There's a manhwa adaptation remake right now with a renewed magnificent art and a mass release.

I recommend stacking up chapters so you won't have to wait every week for a new chapter but I guess that won't happen now since The Novel's Extra is such a masterpiece; it's nearly impossible to resist not reading the manhwa(sorry i guess🤭)
    - Kim Hajin looking so innocent and harmless are simply priceless👌

Well written novel that'll bring you to tears as it'll really make you feel sentimental. It has been criticized for the rushed ending but it's a happy ending so don't worry about it and just dive in!!
    - Give it a try and you surely won't regret it. This remains to be one of the best novels I've ever read and the one who made me grow as a person the most despite reading countless books out there.
Warning: The drama really hurts; it hurt so much it brought me to tears so prepare your heart for the feels or you'll come crying hard afterwards

The 1st 25% of the novel is amazing no doubt. But it declined afterwards. Romance is seriously mucked up. How the hell did he end up with that girl I don’t get it. Mc and that chae girl’s story is a big plus of this novel. I really liked that part. Rachel is just there for whatever reason. I guess it would’ve been better if there was no romance (or if it ended up being a harem). I still think he ended up with the wrong girl.

I dropped this novel the first time I read it at around post-Tower of Wish arc and I decided to pick it up with the goal of finishing it finally but I just couldn’t.

The first major arc was amazing with a great cast of characters whose relationships with each other were dynamic and had depth. Best example of this was Yeonha where at first glance one might see her as close friends with Nayun but as you get to know her, you would find out about her insecurities and complicated feelings towards the latter because of their families’ history with each other. Despite that though, you could find situations where Yeonha genuinely cares and empathizes for Nayun. This separated the story from those generic Korean hunter manhwas or those second chances novels plagued with one dimensional characters. I also really liked how the co-author adds unpredictability and tension to the plot.

Unfortunately, as the plot progresses, it slowly declined into becoming like its cookie-cutter counterparts. The MC becomes OP because of his knowledge regarding the future blah blah blah so on and so forth.

It’s just sad because from the initial arcs, you could see the potential for it to be a great novel all throughout with its really interesting character drama and world building that just pulled you in and enticed you to keep on reading. Half-way through though it just turned into a chore.

March 10 2022- I finished reading this novel. One of the best novels I have read until now. Plots are mostly unpredictable and scenes are well written.

Goshh, haha. I remember those sleepless nights I've spent in reading this novel. Worthy of my time👌.
