Life Demon, Order Demon, Knowledge Demon, Fate Demon, War Demon…

When various bizarre powers invaded, the world was clearly divided into two distinct sides.

Some worship them as gods, walking upon the earth as their spokespeople.

Others choose to drink a glass of strong liquor on scarlet nights, and raise the hunting rifle in their hands Collapse

Scarlet Descent — or as I call it, "Demonology for the Emotionally Unstable" — begins with the world already shattered. Seventy years ago, some mysterious calamity rolled in, flipped the cosmic chessboard, and humans promptly lost their collective minds. Demons didn’t just crawl out of the shadows—they burst from emotions themselves. Yes, even your petty grudge could now spawn a reality-warping abomination.

The twelve sacred gods? Demoted. Now just demonic sequences people treat like cursed trading cards. And then there’s the thirteenth—Scarlet. No fanfare. No divine lineage. Just Wei Wei: orphan, half-mad, potentially allergic to sanity, and proud wielder of sequence zero-nonsense.

Wei Wei our protag returns to Scrap Iron City, a charming little slum at the edge of humanity’s last magic bubble, where cultists sip blood like wine and sanity goes to die. He’s not cold, but he’s not right either. He bluffs, schemes, smiles in the dark, and might just talk a demon into therapy—or kill it mid-sentence. Depends on the mood.

The novel doesn’t meander. No 300-chapter tea parties. No 50-volume alchemy midterms. It punches straight ahead with action, grit, and just enough weirdness to keep your inner conspiracy theorist fed. Humor sneaks in like a beggar with a dagger, and character interactions actually matter.

So no, this ain’t your usual "teen finds sword, gains harem, ascends with plot armor" tale. This is more like, "teen finds chaos, gains paranoia, fakes confidence, and maybe becomes the 13th Apostle of Something Vaguely Terrifying."

If you're tired of being spiritually catfished by titles promising greatness only to hand you filler arcs and mood swings, Scarlet Descent is a fine detox.

From one wanderer to another—give madness a chance.

    Disrespector of Generic Plot Armor

This old man finds your way of dispensing wisdom quite tasteful—like stumbling upon an oasis in an apocalyptic desert, or standing at gunpoint only for the trigger to click empty… or better yet, for the gun to explode in the aggressor’s face. Satisfying—and potentially life-saving.

It's about a madman with strong abilities, though not too OP, in a world rather similar to LOTM. A few things are different, but basically Gehrman Sparrow from LOTM but the plot is a bit weaker. Still interesting, but nowhere near Peak. I'd say it's interesting and engaging, but hardly more than that.
    Rating: About 6-7/10.

Honestly if we were up against demons that could control the element in their moniker, we would be cooked

The demonic dao has not touched this one, experienced daoists may enjoy without fear.

Возможно он настолько надоел слать свои анекдоты в личные сообщения модеров, что они его разбанили.
