5 years ago, Earth was subject to an event now known as the “World Awakening”.

At that time, the world completely changed. Mana awakened in the world, gates began opening, and a holographic screen showed up in front of the eyes of every human that outlined their “status”.

Each individual was given a talent to start with, ranging from simple abilities like enhanced eyesight to insane fantasy stuff like pyrokinesis.

And within this myriad of abilities, Damien awakened a spatial affinity with the skill “short-distance teleportation”.

At first, he was excited, thinking about intense battles and gaining great power, but the reality was quick to shoot him down.

His ability only worked in the area 10 meters around himself, and his physical stats were insanely weak, leaving him tired after using his ability a couple of times.

Disillusioned by his weakness, Damien lived a quiet life doing anything he could to meet ends meet, until one day, everything changed.

Damien was betrayed and thrown into a gate, left to fend for himself in a labyrinth of beasts.

Something snapped in him that day. He refused to stay weak and keep his head down any longer.

When he emerged from the darkness, he found himself in a new world with no idea how to return to earth.

However, he wasn’t the same kid he was when he first fell. Collapse

As someone who read over 850 chapters of this in the past… it had a rough start, a really, REALLY rough start, but eventually took off and found some wings of its own. Once the protagonist actually starts developing mentally and acknowledges his brain is all kinds of messed up, he goes through quite a bit of character development and spiritual searching, which makes him a far more likable character. The power system gets developed and more fleshed out as time goes on as well, there’s quite a few unexpected plot twist, and the world(? Universe?) building becomes quite good as well.

As I said at the start though, it is unfortunately quite bogged down by its start. Just getting past the initial humor is a struggle, let alone the glaring flaws in the initial plot and the characters personality. Really, if the author could do a rewrite of the earlier chapters(though I know they have no intentions too, as they cherish even the poor quality of their past self) then far more people could actually get interested in the good parts of this story.

Stopped at 177, couldn't handle it anymore... especially the harem. Would have been a bit better without it. 23
Had a good potential but the author just didn't use it.

The people who said that this novel started well have a negative IQ, in the first 10 chapters of this novel it already had more plot holes than chapters.

True, I honestly tried to give it a chance but there were so many inconsistencies that I couldnt continue.
Its basically a wish fullfulment fic where mc is "traumatized" because his daddy left him, and thats the excuse thats used for all his dumba** decisions.

    i read till chapter 200
it was meh.. nothing that we haven´t seen before, but the personality of the mc it´s super shi**
man the author couldn´t give the mc a good psychologist. Every bad decision off ths mc itá always the fault of the "past traumas" of the mc.
The mos traumatic thing of the mc was that his "superdupermisteryous" dad leaves and some other sh** that does not warrant so many complications that just by talking you can resolve
i dropped it 2 times and i no longer plan on reading this

It started out like your boring, generic system novel but then it become something more.

This novel is one of the best here. I cannot begin to describe it’s magnificence as it would spoil a lot of things but I must.

The MC: Damien starts as your average betrayed guy that got thrown in a dungeon, starts out scared and slowly turns wild devouring most things. The dungeon damaged him more than he realized after he left, the scar of it stays with him for awhile and he puts in the effort to heal it.

The Character growth is phenomenal, it’s one of the only ones that felt like the MC really changed, not like: “I understand now, what I did was bad” then go do it again. It’s more like an acceptance of his mistakes and acting to fix his short comings while acknowledging that they are there.

One of the concerns the people may have is the harem tag. I had the same concern when I started reading. The harem isn’t the annoying type even though it may seem like that because of the first wife’s introduction. When they meet for the first time, Damien is a guy emotionally scarred by getting betrayed and a guy it also immature, this immaturity can also be seen on the first wife as they are both just teenagers, as time goes they both mature and as the harem grows (there is like 4 as of chapter 1487) the interactions with them get a lot better.

The system isn’t as it’s advertised, this isn’t really “a system novel” it’s merely a device that puts numerical value on the stats of a being, don’t let the level and exp fool you.

The fights and the villains are the best I have ever seen, it’s not just “I’m evil hehe.” They all have their own goals and reasons to live and to kill. Some even having to change/adapt their goals after failure (big spoiler). The fights get progressively better and as you get further they become more of a painting than a mere fight.

A hidden gem is what this novel can be described as. Read it, as long as you get through the cringy parts you will enjoy it.

This is Male wish fulfillment, power fantasy, mindless practically OP MC, YA. Yes, it's young adult. So if you like Twilight, Hunger games, the maze runner, and such and such along with the other tags, then this is inoffensive at most.

This has gone from a fast pace to a super slow pace which ruined it for me. To be honest it isn't actually that bad but the author ruined it by changing the pace too much. And it is also a mix of too many things keep it simple and just go with one direction but NO always writing in every direction adding every f#cking thing there is,
