It's a fairly interesting and refreshing take on the trope of Goldenfinger's. the MC is also way better than the standard arrogant numbskulls with cheats. He actually uses his brain and doesn't just get lucky around every corner, sure he has some OP as hell encounters arguably but I'd say this is easier to stomach than other atypical xianxia system/goldenfinger.

Only one gripe. It is too new. both the translation and the actual raws, at least on mtlnovel it is only up to 239.

To the new guy who just saw this novel and is considering reading it. A friendly warning. Don't read it... wait and wait and wait until it accumulates enough chapters to binge on.. once you start every 13hours wait will feel like ten years. Dont torture yourself as I have and still am.

Great novel. Starting few chapters are almost a similar copy of Warlock of Magus World, but right after that, the plot takes a whole different road. MC is cunning, resourceful, knowledgeable and know how to plot and scheme for benefit of his own and people close to him. Good concept for the system.
Author knows how to build the plot, but we are always hungry for more chapters. Plz release faster.

HIDDEN GEM/GARBAGE RELEASE RATE

ppl don't say it's copied it's actually pretty good try like 50 chapters and you'll understand it's well written

Everything is amazing but release rate is worst

I am currently at 110ch. And this novel is actually good and its system concept is also fresh. Translation superb and world building is also good. If i have to nitpick then it would be mcs power progression which is one of the slowest i have ever seen in system type novel

Surprisingly good, it's not terribly deep but I have to say it's the best cultivation novel I've ever read in terms of an actual sect that doesn't just randomly murder its disciples and/or look the other way as they're murdered. The elders actually do something and he has some attachment to the sect even! There isn't constantly face-slapping and young masters are mostly kept in check.

It's a pretty slow plot but that's fine with me, my only real complaint so far is that he's STILL (as of 100+) holding onto a SUPER CRITICAL piece of info that he rationalizes as "impossible for him to know" but it could be justified in like 20 different ways (the ). They also seem to just bring stuff up that they drop eventually like the girl from the prologue and other characters are footnotes ex: he's in a group for a long time and when 2 of them die it's literally addressed as "2/7 dead", we didn't even know their name.

It's a decent read, though. Lots of comparisons to WotMW which I suppose is fair given the initial setup () but the character/world/system are totally different.

Then the ape shatters the chain wrapped around his forearm, is this sort of unreliable misinforming description gonna be a regular thing?
