I might be slightly retarded. But I stand by it, I like that even though he was unable to cultivate he wasn't stereotypically thrown out by his family and that became his motivation. This isn't something expected from a cultivation world, when most you read don't really have those strong family bonds. Also it was interesting to see the mc, who we have seen at the literal top of the world and just married his pretty interesting, (though that's about it so far) wife, just kill himself, we do understand it's for that sky god whatever but that wasn't even a guarantee, and he just got a artifact that can give him gentle energy so that he could live longer, though it doesn't state how much longer. This opening act also introduces a lot of stuff that isn't explained but once it's further into the story just their mention back at the beginning is enough for it's worth, since the author isn't going to be imagining things out of their ass. Sure there are things I can see it's taken inspiration from but it's a bit pessimistic to say it's overused and stale.

Remember the arrogant young masters raped/almost raped important FM lead/many unimportant side characters. Remember the father of the arrogant young master who was pissed because you killed his son. Remember the clan elder, the father's father, who wanted revenge for killing both his grandson and son, so he rallied the upper echelon of the said family clan to kill the MC only to help the MC in his breakthrough to the universeheavengodkingemperorgrotto-heaven realm. Remember the ancestor of the family who, instead of trying to make amends with the expert, attempted to threaten the MC, only to be in turn, wiped out off the face of the Earth. Then you must remember the sect backing the family. This is one of the most powerful sects on the qilingoldenwhitetigerblacktortoise continent. After wiping out the sect, you find out it was a subsidiary sect to an even bigger hegemon in the divinedragon continent. After having a huge powertrip and wiping out that hegemon, you find out that the lost ancestor who had been away for a trillion years suddenly came back for no reason at all, only to find out that his sect was recently wiped out. Time skip 10 years and the MC is peerless, goes over to the sect ancestor and kills him after a bitter battle, only to have him know that the sect ancestor's master was an eternal god of the universe. Then he wipes out half the universe in his battle before killing the person and now he is the strongest being to ever exist. He restores the universe and rules over it. Then you find out that it is only a primitive universe and there are more universes out there with more powerful beings. Then the cycle continues.
