It is said that you shouldn't meet your heroes. Gehaldirah, a high elf of royal bloodline didn't have to meet the realm lord of High Heaven before he became disillusioned.

His admiration for the paragon of the high elf race turned into hatred when he got some damning knowledge about why demons kept attacking his home and looting the sacred tree of life. His hatred for the realm lord turned to self-hatred for his weakness and mediocrity.

Gehaldirah had a moment of introspection. He isn't at the bottom of the ladder in this strength-based hierarchy. He is a king of law, but that apparently isn't enough to guarantee your fate. His strength is also mediocre because it was granted to him because of his bloodline.

He determined he had to change himself. He has to become better. He concocted a plan that is one part genius and one part greed. His plan for reincarnation led him to the trial of heaven that occurs every origin cycle. He needed Origin essence so he participated in the trial.

He got more than he wanted from the trial. His plan for reincarnation would be a success after some adjustments. But now he has a different aim. He won't aim for just the realm lord. The realm lord has control of the High Heaven Realm. That isn't enough for Geraldirah anymore.

He became greedier. He has his sight set on the movers and shakers of the Void Universe. Only the power to subvert the will of World Gods will do. The plan to create LEGION, the ultimate organism was then hatched. If one person cannot achieve something, what about a multitude of them?

His journey will not be easy. He will have to overcome Celestials and their Celestial Supreme, Gods and their GodKings, Demon kings and their Demon gods. The Void Universe is full of obstacles that will like nothing more than to put an end to his path. It is not that they hate him. They will oppose him simply because the era of conquest is coming. There are no friends in the era of conquest. It is everyone for themselves. And he will use everything and everyone for the advancement of Legion.

    I have read till 961 on another site.

    Simple way to explain the novel is that the mc seeks power and he gains a single moment to split his soul and make them reincarnate(Lack of a better word) into different creatures too power himself up. Like one creature goes for chaos law and another for order law but another for example goes for ways to avoid divination. At some points they intersect and help each other but it is all for LEGION.

    + The power systems are interesting and there are multiple that are explored.
    + The world itself is well made and has lot of potential.
    + The scenario's have satisfying and well done endings that makes you ask where it is going next.
    + The way reincarnations intersect is well done. Same for foreshadowing of unseen reincarnations.

    / The stories switches between reincarnations but some are more interesting then the others so if you get a reincarnation that you don't like it feels like a slugfest too read 100 or so chapters till you care again because another reincarnation got introduced or is switched to.

    - The mc goal is to get stronger but has no reason really for why. It is not for survival like in the alien novels or to save someone so it feels goalless?.
    - Beginning of the novel is not that well done. I didn't know the elf was the mc. Half the time i thought it was the dragon... who has not been mentioned much at all afterwards.
    - The mc and his cultivation progression is frustrating. He starts lets say lvl 70 but only has the skill splash and the thing his reincarnations do is only making him learn more skills like cut and ember but does not increase his lvl at all. Basically foundation building for the entire almost 1k chapters... even if the powersystems itself is well done.
    - The novel is better seen as 3 novels with each 300 or so chapters that all build on each other and intersect(Well done on that part) but also means that nothing really happens in the grand scheme when most cultivation novels are 1 novel of over 3k chapters generally.

    One part is 4/5
    another a 3/5
    and 3.5/5 for the general feeling. Most will drop it for that the weak to strong aspect is more sideways so far then going from cultivation lvl 1 to lvl 2 and go on.

    I have read till chapter 987 and I can say it is good ,but it has too much info dump and when I say too much, I mean it, and it's not about power system or the world that say info dump, sometimes it's useless character and the most obvious is the tournament arc which by far the most filler arcs that I have ever read, 100 chapter of bulshit and if you skip it ,it wouldn't matter. Anyway after reading that arc
    I had the urge to kill my self and author after reading that much shit but beside that it's good 4/5

    I’ve been reading this so I’ll give a review. It’s an evil Mc novel with both faults and positives.

    Cons:
    - Infodump introduction.
    The start is just really info heavy, but once the intro chapters are over, it gets into a better groove
    - Dumbass monkey arc. It’s novel and cool for a while, but the pointless interactions just kinda annoys the hell out of me. Basically skim read fast there. It gets a lot better after it.
    - King of filler. I can’t imagine paying Webnovel premium for these chapters. Author is filler loving, especially in monkey arc. However, its pretty identifiable as filler, so just speed through.

    Pros
    - Evil MC. None of that family and mercy Bs. Actually ruthless.
    - Concept is cool af, not going to spoil but I really like each mini arc that is set up. Once the demon arc starts, it gets much better.
    - Power leveling. The progression of the story is just amazing. His feats, the exploration of the world, the occasional face slapping, etc. Seeing MC break bounds is just cool.

    TLDR; reccomended if you have nothing better to read and you’re looking specifically for evil Mc novels.
