It is said that you shouldn't meet your heroes. Gehaldirah, a high elf of royal bloodline didn't have to meet the realm lord of High Heaven before he became disillusioned.

His admiration for the paragon of the high elf race turned into hatred when he got some damning knowledge about why demons kept attacking his home and looting the sacred tree of life. His hatred for the realm lord turned to self-hatred for his weakness and mediocrity.

Gehaldirah had a moment of introspection. He isn't at the bottom of the ladder in this strength-based hierarchy. He is a king of law, but that apparently isn't enough to guarantee your fate. His strength is also mediocre because it was granted to him because of his bloodline.

He determined he had to change himself. He has to become better. He concocted a plan that is one part genius and one part greed. His plan for reincarnation led him to the trial of heaven that occurs every origin cycle. He needed Origin essence so he participated in the trial.

He got more than he wanted from the trial. His plan for reincarnation would be a success after some adjustments. But now he has a different aim. He won't aim for just the realm lord. The realm lord has control of the High Heaven Realm. That isn't enough for Geraldirah anymore.

He became greedier. He has his sight set on the movers and shakers of the Void Universe. Only the power to subvert the will of World Gods will do. The plan to create LEGION, the ultimate organism was then hatched. If one person cannot achieve something, what about a multitude of them?

His journey will not be easy. He will have to overcome Celestials and their Celestial Supreme, Gods and their GodKings, Demon kings and their Demon gods. The Void Universe is full of obstacles that will like nothing more than to put an end to his path. It is not that they hate him. They will oppose him simply because the era of conquest is coming. There are no friends in the era of conquest. It is everyone for themselves. And he will use everything and everyone for the advancement of Legion.

    I've come to the conclusion that if u like this novel, you are most likely a veteran like me that has been enamored by a brand new special concept. You're also capable of withstanding the horribly boring first 30 or so chapters before the reincarnation, and u also don't need the fast paced nature of other cultivation books where the MC is reaching peak cultivation at the age of 40.

    If you don't like this novel, u were probably disgusted with the first 30 or so trashy chapters, or you are a newer reader who prefers to read about OP protagonists with tons of face slapping and horny girls.

    I'm not mocking anyone. My first novel was Inevitable Road to Divinity and I thought it was the greatest thing ever back then, but when I tried to re-read it a few years later I came to the realisation that it was bad. Very bad. It did not meet up to the expectations of my memory.

    But funnily enough if I was to read this novel back then, I would have called it trash and never gotten into novels. Unlike now.

    Simply put, there's a time for everything.

    As for my opinion on this book: 9/10

      Thank you so much for your review. I had doubts at first when reading the reviews here and I decided to give it a shot after reading yours. 1300 chapters later, I regret nothing. The worldbuilding is magnificient, the ranks and roads to power are original, and most important of all, it isnt a novel about face slapping.

      I still have a few dozens chapters till I'm up to date, unfortunately, so if you have any recommendations for other novels, I'm all ears!

      unlike most reviews which usually consisted of the pros and cons of the story, what they feel about the said story, rage bait, or just ratings, you chose another point which came from the maturity, feelings, and growth as a reader. i love it

      i thought Chu Feng (Martial God Asura) was the epitome of a man back then. now fast forward 10 years later, i'm on my late twenties, and the storys still going strong (5500+ chapters). the great story i used to see it as back then seems awful, yet there are a lot of people reading it daily, ig it is as you said, the story is the same old one it's just me who grew up

      my taste in novels goes a little in that direction but at the same time completely the opposite.

      I've read hundreds over many years.

      At first, I thought anything was good.

      I read several with these common cliches, ex atg and others similar.

      and thought it was incredible.

      But today I simply hate novels with a false OP protagonist, the author makes him seem super OP.

      besides all the annoying clichés

      but the protagonist is always running away from someone, that's shit.

      dramatic things, ex ergen or similar, I always hated.

      No matter how well written it is, real life is already full of problems, why would I spend my precious time reading about someone suffering and their dramas?

      Nowadays I'm only happy reading a novel in which the protagonist is extremely Op, he doesn't suffer any difficulties, everything is easy, I cultivate quickly.

      Yes, these stories are usually bad and poorly written, but they are quick, relaxing, great for passing time and relaxing.

      but a really well-written story with an incredibly OP protagonist, without cliches and with a great romance, would be incredible.

      I am a veteran reader and I still like OP mc's but the horny characters and face slapping make me physically sick. Also the rush of chinese authors to have one event after another in the span of a few days without a break is just disgusting.
