Defiance of the Fall by TheFirstDefier

I say this is a good professionally written novel, in the fact that the plot is good, my qualm however is that the story is too slow for me but I will still read. One of the positives about this novel is that it is a realistic reaction to such a scenario and how the plot splits and converges at critical points made me binge read this entire book within a day. Even though Zac's luck is obscenely high compared to the rest of the characters, the effects don't show too much and he gets severely injured many times.

The Dao aspect of this novel too is very well explained, and honestly it is one of the more interesting part of this novel, seeing how all of the system skills and the fit together with the Dao. Even then Zac is not too broken in this aspect.

Overall a fantastic novel with a good well explained power ranking and the system doesn't favor MC too much unlike other novels of this genre, and it also has fully fleshed out side characters. MC's opness is not undeserved as he actually works a lot harder, as he has

I thought this was great, but I started to lose interest around ch 500-ish till eventually, I stopped reading altogether. Nothing that I could point to particularly. I recommend you to try it. The system is interesting, the side characters are solid, and it's professionally written.

Is this good?

So much hate for one of the best rated novels in kindle unlimited and royalroad. Personally, I recommend to give it a try It has one of the best combination of system and cultivation novel. The mc has a territory but mostly walk the solitary path. He is mostly like a deterrent and last line of defense of and for his territory. He is strong but not overpowered, heck, he is not even talented. Mostly, unlucky kind of lucky like the 'luck' factor in oracle paths. Yes, if there is a comparison it's like Oracle Paths but no, both are not based on one or the other. Both have a meticulously described world building. It is similar on the point that both are brute type mc, unlucky lucky, out of control system, and kingdom building endgame.

Is this a kingdom building? Or the mc have territory and have to manage it?

Kind of disappointing. Very good world-building but the fights just are not fun. In like 1/3 of all fights, he survives only cause of some insane luck. ex. lightning running through his body making his head spasm, which barely lets him dodge an arrow aimed at his head.
It's doesn't give us that satisfying feeling that he won the fight by himself

Unless you'll have Kindle or some other source, I wouldn't recommend reading this cause of chapters 8-213 as mentioned by Panic.
