Man, what's up with this name change and numbers thing? :D This is military, not some super max prison. Honestly it's pretty stupid since it's confusing and really bad system anyways since number is always changing. I mean French foreign legion is only place that has really done this, even that is in the past and now it's just for administrative purposes if someone wants it, you still use your own name.

it's just weird, it's like author has some fetish for scrubbing identities :D I mean what mc has been Jaiden, 13, 1, ensign 1 now Iron?? And mc doesn't even need to hide, his family knows he's here, and if he doesn't want to be recognized by everyone as noble he can just change his surname. I mean why change name you are already used to, and as reader it's also very jarring. Author suddenly started calling mc Iron even in narration.
