Lu Yang transmigrated into the Cultivation World and became a disciple of the Demon Sect, the Primordial Saint Sect.

Fortunately, he obtained the mysterious treasure 【Book of a Hundred Lifetimes】, which allowed him to restart a new lifetime after death, letting everything begin anew. He could even bring back treasures, cultivation, lifespan, and might even awaken special talents from his previous life.

However, the number of uses was limited; it did not grant true immortality.

As the Cultivation World was on the verge of chaotic times, Lü Yang had originally decided to lie low in the Demon Sect, cultivating painstakingly through one lifetime after another. He would not leave the mountain unless he achieved immortality. Yet, the Demon Sect was extraordinarily perilous, and talents were everywhere.

In the first lifetime, Lü Yang suffered a forced assault and was directly overexerted to death by his Senior Sister.

In the second lifetime, Lü Yang seized power from below and overexerted his Senior Sister to death, but still could not escape the deadly hands of his Senior Brother.

The third lifetime… The fourth lifetime…

Until after a hundred lifetimes, when he looked back, Lü Yang realized that he had already become a Great Overlord of the Demonic Path, the most beastly existence within the Primordial Saint Sect.

“The Demon Sect is truly full of talents, and they all speak so nicely.”

“I really love it here!” Collapse

#panic# The downloadable MTL seems to be from July '25 with only around 600 chapters but the online one seems complete.
Would it be possible to get the updated epubs?
    Thanks!

That would be actually good, most chapter around 600-1000 are quite unreadable compared to later chapters when Gemini got updated, hope it not too much of a work for you tho.

      Fixed. #Error404#

Chapters 1–1541 have been retranslated using Gemini 3 Flash. The glossary has been regenerated using Gemini 3 Pro. The glossary is also available in the AI Editor if anyone wishes to translate the chapters themselves.

I will update the archive with EPUB files in 7 languages tomorrow.

Thanks for the great work fellow daoist, now younger generation with lower wisdom light doesn't have worry about finding easier to understand scriptures and everyone can see path of immortality here. With this your merit is complete and you can transcend.

I just finished reading it. I liked the ending. I don’t agree with the Taoist companion ZzZ — I didn’t find the final tribulation arc bad or rushed. The novel has 1,441 chapters; there wasn’t anything left to drag out. The author picked the right moment to finish. I read this novel for a year — only those who have followed a novel for such a long time know the feeling when it finally ends: a bittersweet melancholy... ~sigh..

For those who want to know the ending and the origin of the Book of a Hundred Lives and the fate of the First Saint, here::

Writing was extremely good and so was the character development. I've never seen so much breakdown of each cultivation stage and so much struggle just to reach core formation... For most of the story, it truly highlighted the absolute power differences between cultivation realms and how surviving in such a world would truly be a harrowing experience.

The protagonist doesn't change much throughout the story - a weak ant, with a weak ant's mentality: fishing in troubled waters, blowing up the fish, etc. It all changes when he finally enslaves a genius Dao seeker who helps him enslave other powerful figures. Though he treats them with relative benevolence as the slave master, they, as banner spirits, have little recourse. Still, qualified plot armor is qualified - he starts to change, because he gets good advice. Change begets change, and over time, he slowly rises through the ranks, and finally, starts to think for himself.

The story from the beginning until he forges his own dao is like watching a child grow up. He went from an absolute amateur with a terrible mindset, to someone who understands his own limits, and is seasoned enough to not trust blindly in others, to seek his own answers, and to forge ahead on his own. It feels like you're along for this journey.

However, everything changed when the author posted that they'll be concluding the story shortly. All of the sudden almost twenty new characters pop up with little introduction or backstory, a previously established orderly timeline is thrown into chaos, and the story is rushed into a cartoon ending... Power of love and friendship. What is this, Naruto? Even in Naruto there were greater moments of loss and personal sacrifice. The carefully built up power scaling and balancing was forgotten for the sake of wrapping up the story. What was once a consistent and whole universe became anything but.

    This story deserves two ratings:
Beginning to forging his own dao - 8.5/10: a good read.
The final tribulation arc - 4/10: absolute dogwater.
