    Сюжет и идея интересные, но в остальном скучновато. Главный герой не ищет возможностей для своего чита, не пытается всеми силами стать сильнее и в целом кажется, что у него нет никакой цели. Типо... он слишком пассивный. Все, что он делает, это: Создает кожу -> спит с женщинами фактически без их согласия для сокрытия прорывов в культивации -> избегает интриг -> создает кожу... и так по кругу. Чувак может делать из обычных техник невероятно крутые, жить теоритически бесконечно, улучшать свой талант в подходящих условиях без угрозы жизни, но просто сидит на месте и делает кожу. Как же китайцы любят даньтянь дрочеров, которые сидят на одном месте под сотню лет для "сокрытия", когда сами являются императорами-богами, ведь это так важно давать подщечины.

      Однако отмечу, что персонажи не глупые, и происходит много интересных интриг. А концепция обязательного принятия лекарств для продвижения редко встречается в книгах, обычно это просто для повышения шансов.

      Кстати, я заядлый читатель mtl, да и иногда не гнушаюсь через гугл перевод читать книги прямо с китайских сайтов, но построения текста у этого автора/(переводчика?) просто меня убивает. Я иногда вообще не мог понять что происходит.

    Cultivation through Skin Making....This novel is a “solid, interesting, and engaging” cultivation-/dark-fantasy / occult + system novel ...especially in its early–mid sections. If you enjoy grim cultivation, underdog-to-overlord arcs, “system-based power progression,” and don’t mind some flaws (weaker female characters, potential late-arc drop-off, repetitive patterns).....well it’s worth reading....at least the first half or two-thirds.

    Man this novel is a gem, complex characters with their own internal logic is the standard here, not just the main character, though the mc is written alot better than most side character.. Here's a small excerpt for writing example.

    He had long known that his karma was too heavy. Any mortal who became even slightly entangled with him could have their soul scattered, dying a miserable death.

    So, he could never again sit at a table with those children, eating wontons. Li Huai could no longer bring him a hot bowl, saying with concern, "Uncle Li, eat slowly." Shuang Yun could no longer look at him with that gaze, hoping to confess but fearing his rejection. And he could no longer hold Xiao Huan in his arms, ruffling her hair, making funny faces as she asked, "Can a quack doctor be a good person?"

    Song Yan couldn't imagine how much courage it must have taken for those six to come to the Thousand Crane Sect looking for him.

    Only to be told that "Doctor Li" didn't exist.

    I've always appreciated a cautious protagonist who hides his true abilities when necessary. But, this is way too much. At this point, he'll ascend to true immortal and still be pretending to be at qi gathering level 3 or something. Too frustrating. I'm out.

    Every character is alive and with its own personality. The schemes are crazy! And no dimwit mc touted by the author to be cunny.

    If you want depth, read this.

    Rapid power progression that's logical,read this.

    A harem that's beautifully written.

    Few novels make me write reviews but this is one.
