What I really liked about this story was the character development.
The first 3 generations of the Fisher family, these are characters that the author developed well. We are shown them from teenagers who are very immature and weak, and up until the point where they grow throughout the book, their personalities change, their wisdom grows, and their outlook on life, their actions and their consequences change throughout the book. It was very exciting to follow these characters. In particular, the author conveyed the emotions of the characters well and made me really fall in love with them. When some characters died, I could not help but feel sad, when Byrne died, I even shed a tear. It is extremely rare that I can feel such emotions from reading a book. For this, the author definitely deserves a big compliment from me.
Despite the fact that the author is a beginner and has barely finished school, he wrote the characters well, not every experienced novelist is capable of this. He did a great job in this direction, and only because of this I think the book is worth reading!

Despite the slow pace of the plot in the first 300 chapters, it remains exciting and dynamic at the same time! You read as if under hypnosis and cannot tear yourself away, various conspiracies, deals and battles make you read and read, you want to know how it will all end.

In addition to the advantages of the book, I want to express special gratitude to the author for writing good villains. Here the villains do not give the impression that they are stupid, and the characters of the Fisher family win due to the plot armor. There really were a couple of villains that I can only call excellent!!! In fact, you can't call them villains, since everyone has their own point of view and their own reasons for doing this, here you can easily understand and sympathize even with the antagonists, I liked it. Viscount Bast was my favorite, he turned out to be a great antagonist character.
