If you are a new reader, then don't think twice and just get into it. You are in for a journey of a lifetime. And if by chance you find the first chapter not to your liking then please skip it because that is the first and the last such situation in the story.

Paragon of Sin is a unique novel for me.

Its not the best novel I have read but still makes me check my phone regularly for the updates.

Maybe its just finding a character that thinks before acting, and considers all possible scenarios.
(Many spoilers below, please don't click if you haven't reached in the 700's)

And a level of foreshadowing that always blows my mind.
(It was mostly a review meant for readers that have caught up to the latest chapters)

So a selfish request from me - if any veteran PoS reader has found a novel that has a logical mc, exciting plot and good foreshadowing like PoS, do recommend such novels in the reply.

At this pace I don't think they're even serious doing the story now. It's just cultivation explanations at this point.

If this continues till the next arc, might as well drop it.

My thoughts after 200 chaps:
Good points:
- The MC, even tho some of his actions annoy for the most part I quite like him and you can see his character development clearly.
- The MC's karmic luck counter is a pretty cool ability that I'd never seen before.
- Su Mei. She's simply the best.
- The fact that there are only like 1 or 2 arrogant young masters if u can call them that and so there are no useless/filler situations.
- The MC minds his own business and is not a trouble magnet.
- The fact that there are no apparent limits to the world inside the novel. I like it when the author's creativity is the limit of the story and we literally have the entire universe at our disposal. In this case thousands of worlds.
- The Mc has a good life in his academy . Cuz i hate when the MCs have to run away cuz their sects are after them.
- The length of the chapters is nice. They are like 4 or 5 cultivation online's chapters worth of words.
- The mc makes use of being an alchemist. He is protected by his sect cuz of his status which i like instead of him hiding and keeping it secret.
- there might a few more but that's all I remember as of right now.

Bad points:
- The world itself. I get it that the author wants to make the story more serious and dark but I think he went/goes too far with it.
- The cultivation system. I find it quite stupid that the author, as of chapter 200, limited the cultivation realms he showed to the readers.
- Cultivation. This novel has a huge problem which is the fact that the author overcomplicated how cultivation works, be it its techniques, realms or anything else. We're constantly bombarded with info dumps that are essential to the story and need to be understood that are extremely confusing and hard to grasp. Therefore making the cultivation of each character, especially the MC, very hard to follow.
- Info Dumps. The author loves info dumps and we constantly get full chapters of explanations which again are hard to grasp and fully understand on a first read through. Makes the story move slower and it is boring.
- Harem. This part is awful, maybe even shit, because coming into the novel after seeing the harem tag I was expecting something that simply isn't here and I doubt ever is gonna be. The MC loves doing one night stands which is fine by me, but at the same time even the women he fancies, 'cuz he does not love anybody, have never actually joined his harem. He doesn't even have one at this point lol. He's always f#cking beauties but it is always one night stands. The rest related to this will be in the Long Chen section.
- R18. These scenes are skipped which is disappointing.
- Long Chen. A motherfuking cockroach that the author loves to keep around, tho I do understand why to a certain extent. This is like the MC of the novel if this was a regular cultivation novel cuz he gets all the treasures, luck, women, etc and keeps butting heads with the MC trying to make him look bad. All the women we were introduced to early on and that could potentially develop a relationship with the MC are ALL, aside from Su Mei, in this man's harem, tho he doesn't have sex with some of them. Now although i don't mind the mc's harem lovers being virgins or not it annoys me that the MC is still allowing them to marry him and be with him even after all they've done to him during their stay on Long chen's side. All of this just feels unnecessary and extremely annoying to read about.
- Mei Mei.
- Jade Beauties. The author loves describing them for paragraphs only for them to die next chapter, be raped, enter long chen's harem or simply disappear forever. The r18 is skipped too so another reason not to even bother mentioning how sexy they are.
- The MC's Sin thingy. It is so fuking annoying how often this thing is mentioned. I swear it is literally every fuking chapter. He keeps repeating how worried he is about the second calimity and all that. Extremely repetitive.
- Repetition. The author always gives the same examples and keeps mentioning the same worries. Ex: the 2nd calamity, his obsession with mei mei, the three yin girl, etc. Each of these have appeared in the MC's thoughts at least 40 times up until chapter 200.
- there are probably more but this is all I can think of.

Overall, even tho I like some aspects of this novel; the bad aspects simply make it unbearable for me to keep reading it. Therefore I'm dropping it at chapter 200.
