Living in a world of cultivators is like walking on the edge of a knife. If you slip, the best result is a deep cut, but the likely result is death. Su Fang is brought into this world completely unprepared, knowing nothing, and lacking any skills to help him. This means only one thing. He is destined to die.

Fortunately, Su Fang is immortal. Not because he cannot die, but because when he does, he un-dies.

In this world, everyone is born with a Golden Finger to help them survive. Su Fang’s blessing is to return to the beginning of his journey after every death. His System provides him credits upon death with which he can purchase absolutely anything, but he is only rewarded enough credits to help him return to the point he died. To advance further, he must rely on himself.

This is both a time loop story and a xianxia story. At different points, one element is more pronounced than the other, but it is always a combination of both.

This can also be considered a slice-of-life story. It isn’t about saving the world or defeating a big bad guy. It is about living life in an unfamiliar world where it can sometimes seem like everyone is out to kill or enslave you.

Expectations:

- Detailed cultivation and crafting.

- Limited fighting scenes through most of the story.

- Slow cultivation progression. Each level will be explored in detail.

- Somewhat unreliable narrator. Cultivation affects the mind, and it will affect the MC’s perceptions of the world. Facts can generally be trusted, but many times there are layers beyond what the narrator sees.

- Xianxia tropes with a world built around them so they make sense. Why do young masters go crazy shouting "You dare!"? Why do their guards willing throw themselves to their death against someone with significantly higher cultivation? All that and more is explained.

- This is a story of cultivation. It has cultivation in the xianxia sense, working to gain strength and power, but, more importantly, it is a story about cultivating the self. Finding ways to make yourself a better version of you.

The writing quality has gone down many times in recent chapters.Sad to see a novel with such potential fall into mediocrity

According to his patreon, around the time you posted that comment stuff was happening IRL and he was struggling to get back into writing his novel. So, probably to do with that if the writing quality actually did go down. (Idk, I caught up back in chapter 407 and have been stacking since).

Above average novel, though a bit slowpaced. Not as bad as people say it is.

Just here to say I was a little less generous to the story than I should've been. It's still flawed in many ways but what it offers is so much more substantive. Having re-read and caught up, I believe it needs a score bump.
    8.2/10 very recommended

This novel is actually pretty good despite the comments. It has great worldbuilding, some insane background mysteries, a pretty logical system, and a nice power system. You just have to give it some time to build all that up.
First, the mc does make some illogical choices here and there but its explained pretty clearly with him being a normal guy thrust into this situation. In addition to that, the first few technique he practiced for decades(?) molded him into a slave and emphasized paying back debts which left a strong mark on his soul.
Secondly, the mc needs karma from his clan to ascend to higher ranks which is one of the reason he comes back to take over his clan. The only other option would be to transform into and be forever enslaved by another clan with an oath that crosses resets. He DOESN'T forgive his clan while doing this but instead makes use of some of the positive elements of the clan to build his new clan while killing off the rest.
Finally, with his clan built the story enters a new rhythm of experimentation and gradual advancement.
The story might not be the best thing out there buts its pretty good for what it is
    Easy 7.3/10 would recommend

It was good at the start, a bit boring but was tolerable, but after around 150 chapters, it all goes to shit.
First of all he forgives the clan that made him suffer so much misery, then he has repay some stupid ass debts, and wow how f#cking convenient that he decided to go back to his clan because he decided to play nice and trade with then eyetwit
    Such a stupid plot progression

Having read ahead in the Patreon chapters, I'm gonna have to drop this tbh, I really thought the author would actually listen to his fanbase and make some corrections to the honestly dumb plot progression he was going with... But no. There's none of that whatsoever. There's just the repetitive cycle of stupid decisions and constant creation of plot threads that go nowhere.
