Chapter 1943: Incorporating Dao into Chaos (II)

At present, if a seventh rank became part of the chaos, they might be able to extract an unimaginable amount of chaos strength. But Li Hao would face another bottleneck after he saturated two thousand worlds. If he failed to create the next set of one thousand, then he might be eroded by chaos dao!

“It won’t be that dangerous,” smiled the young man. “The queen survived after she incorporated herself into the chaos! Not to mention, constructing the false chaos also requires endless chaos strength. We can’t always rely on destroying worlds to obtain that energy!

“The chaos is vast and chaos strength everywhere to be found! Compared to dao universes and the worlds, chaos strength is indeed more disorderly and violent. But we should be focusing on the fact that it is available anywhere, anytime.”

It was too hard to seize pure dao strength all the time. Destroying one eighth rank dao universe might help him saturate just a few hundred worlds. How many eighth rank worlds would he have to annihilate in pursuit of that goal?

Saturating a few hundred worlds was already hard enough. It would take around fifty dao universes, whole ones, to complete the construction of ten thousand worlds. That would mean he would’ve destroyed almost all of the eighth rank dao universes in the chaos!

Not to mention, the rest of his people needed to improve as well. They needed a share of the spoils. The dao chess and other eighth ranks hadn’t received anything for their efforts this time. A one-off was fine, but who wanted to constantly work for free?

No matter how close their bonds of friendship were, the eighth ranks would slightly drift away if the situation repeated itself over and over again.

They would’ve repeatedly risked their lives in battle, yet received nothing in return but a body full of injuries. It would be the best outcome if everyone remained on speaking terms as time went on. Eventually parting ways would be a given.

No one cared about that now, but Li Hao had to take it into consideration.

“I gathered everyone here not to dissuade me…” laughed the young man. “I’ve already come to a decision. I called everyone here for one goal—I will attract endless chaos strength when I first become part of the chaos. It will erupt and surge into the river of dao.

“I may not have the effort to spare to organize and contain it, so I’ll need everyone to do it for me!

“Newly incorporated chaos strength will definitely be immensely messy and disorderly. Therefore, I need everyone to help me refine it so that it doesn’t crash through and break my two thousand worlds!”

These statements indicated that Li Hao had made up his mind and wouldn’t change it.

“The disturbance will be enormous,” Yuan Shuo frowned. “Chaos strength will churn toward you from all sides! The eastern region is not at peace these days. There will be a lot of trouble if enemies take advantage of the uproar and attack!

“In addition, New Martial wishes to occupy the east. Will it affect relations with them if you suddenly withdraw a ton of chaos strength?” The old man thought it over and looked at his student. “I have an idea…”

“Please go ahead, teacher.”

“Let’s do this… in the four regions!” Yuan Shuo grinned. “Chaos beasts also rely on chaos strength. We can incorporate your dao into the four regions and extract a large sum of energy before Long Zhan realizes what’s going on. That will also weaken them!

“Of course, this is a very dangerous proposition that will easily open ourselves to an ambush. I think we need to discuss this idea with New Martial. It’s best if they can stand guard for you so that Long Zhan won’t be able to do anything even if he discovers our plan. We’ll be able to remove the primary root of our troubles!”

How much chaos strength could Li Hao extract after he incorporated himself into the chaos?

No one knew.

But when the queen undertook the same actions, she’d absorbed far more than the chaos strength of a first rank. It would be normal for Li Hao to spontaneously drain a major world when he did the same.

Such a massive disturbance was very dangerous and might draw attention from the overlords of the other three regions. The four regions, on the other hand, had natural obstruction in the form of Thunder Region. They would only have to face Long Zhan.

Long Zhan was no benevolent soul. That dragon was their enemy!

No fight had ensued after Li Hao killed so many chaos beasts, but that didn’t mean there was no grudge between them. On the contrary, the opposite was true. Long Zhan’s lack of action meant that he would deliver devastating retribution in the future!

“Apparently eight eighth ranks mobilized from Arctic Frost and other worlds earlier, but they lost one eighth rank and many seventh ranks when they attacked Long Zhan. His side might be stronger than before after that!” reminded Yuan Shuo. “So don’t forget about this enemy! He’s far worse than Reincarnation!

“If the opportunity is right, I recommend allying with New Martial or even Arctic Frost and the rest to exterminate Long Zhan!”

Long Zhan’s dismissal of Li Hao was to let an enemy grow quietly in the shadows. The same went for Li Hao abstaining from taking action against the chaos beast.

“They are tough opponents,” rumbled Fog Mountain. “Eight eighth ranks weren’t able to do anything to them and lost one of their own instead. If we work with New Martial, we will have a lot of powerhouses to pull from. But once fighting breaks out in earnest and we are besieged with enemies… that will only result in a pyrrhic victory for any side!”

“I’m aware of that,” Yuan Shuo nodded. “Long Zhan will be equally wary of that. In that case, we’ll extract what chaos strength from the four regions that we can! We need to weaken their cultivation environment, at the very least. This will prevent them from producing more powerhouses, in any case.

“Having taken down one eighth rank and multiple seventh ranks, I’m concerned that they’ll be able to produce more eighth ranks. It is hard for chaos beasts to ascend, but he has numerous peak seventh ranks under his banner, such as Qingqiu…”

If they dragged this out further and permitted Long Zhan enough time to create more eighth ranks, then the dragon would be even harder to handle.

Li Hao hadn’t thought of heading to the four regions at first, but his teacher made sense. Since there was a blood feud between them, then however much he could weaken the enemy was good.

“That’s right…” Li Hao gave it some thought. “Then let us go to the four regions to incorporate myself into the chaos! Thunder Region being an obstacle will also prevent some external troubles from reaching us. If we do create so much upheaval that it tempts the three overlords into crossing the void, then that would be a lot of danger for me too!”

Once they reached the four regions, the three overlords would be less inclined to make a trip even if Li Hao attracted their attention. And if they did, Long Zhan would have to temporarily set aside his enmity with Li Hao to focus on expelling the outsiders.

The dragon might even cooperate with New Martial and Silver Moon to withstand the newcomers. Otherwise, if the overlords were permitted to set up shop in the four regions, that might spell the end for the chaos beasts.

“Ah, the Exalted Myriad Changes Emperor is here,” said the Thunder Emperor. “Shall we go meet him now?”

“There’s no rush!” Li Hao shook his head. “Let’s incorporate my dao into the chaos first and discuss with him after I succeed. There won’t be much point in talking before that!

“Then let us not waste time… let’s go to New Martial and bring a few eighth ranks with us! We just want to warn off the chaos beasts, not fight them.

“Long Zhan is someone who can bide his time. I’m just there to extract some chaos strength. He also knows that starting conflict with us isn’t a good idea…

“Let’s head to Skyward!” laughed the young man. “I think it’s almost revitalizing, so absorbing some chaos strength will slow down that process. Skyward revitalizing now may not be a good thing. It would only serve to benefit Long Zhan, anyhow.”

With the decision made, the group sprang into motion. Li Hao’s river swept though the area and vanished without a trace. He strode through the void over the river of time.

The young man didn’t know where New Martial was, but he knew where Celestial Pole was. The man would lead him to New Martial.

……

The ninth layer.

Supreme Zhang and the rest were cultivating and digesting their gains. New Martial had grown stronger again with the addition of new seventh ranks.

The supreme suddenly sensed something and summoned a few eighth ranks to his side. The Human King had nearly fully recovered—injuries to the degree that he’d suffered seemed to be a normal occurrence to him. He healed quickly, demonstrating an incredible capacity to take a beating.

When Li Hao appeared, the Human King and supreme exchanged puzzled glances with each other. What was this guy doing here?

“Seniors, I have a matter in which I’d like the seniors to help with a thing or two.”

“Shoot!” responded the Human King. “Other than fighting me, it doesn’t matter who else we fight…”

“It’s not necessarily battle.” Li Hao shook his head with a laugh. “I’d like to travel to the four regions and cultivate for a bit, but might raise a significant fuss in the process. We could draw Long Zhan’s attention, so I’d like to have the seniors present. We can have a nice conversation if it’s possible. If not, I’ll be safer with the seniors around.”

“The four regions?” The Human King stroked his chin. “Long Zhan gave me three worlds last time to get me out of there. I said I’d stay away after receiving the three worlds until Skyward revitalized…”

He was a man who kept his word.

“How about this, I’ll take a few spins around Thunder Region with Ole Zhang,” he laughed. “We won’t go inside if Long Zhan doesn’t come for you. If he does… he’s asking for it and we’ll go inside to beat him up! I won’t be breaking my word then because I, Fang Ping, do what I say I’d do…”

New Martial exalted emperors in the surroundings stared at him.

Are you sure about that? You’re pretty decent to your own people, but nothing you say to enemies can be believed! You’re probably too embarrassed to show who you really are in front of a junior like Li Hao, aren’t you?

Look at you trying to make yourself look better than you are!

“Cultivating in the four regions…” the supreme asked with bafflement. “Are you going to access the Skyward dao universe?

“Not that,” Li Hao explained. “I happen to lack large sums of chaos energy and dao strength for cultivation lately. I’d like to incorporate myself into chaos dao and directly interface with the chaos…”

Jaws dropped on the other side when the rest heard his words. Even the supreme couldn’t help but stare at him for a while and say after a long moment, “I considered that in my early days as well!”

Clearly, he was aware of the problems and difficulties with this course of action.

“You’re very young and very confident,” he said with a frown. “It’s normal to think that you can withstand this attempt! New Martial also advocates trying anything that occurs to one, so long as it doesn’t lead to death!

“But you’ll be in a lot of trouble at the slightest hint of a bottleneck. It was a correct decision for us back in the day to not do so, because we were stuck in the same place for a while due to lack of yang qi. We might’ve exploded from the chaos energy a long time ago!

“We will not say anything against your decision if you’ve already considered this problem.” Supreme Zhang leveled a solemn look at Li Hao. “You are surely aware of the advantages and disadvantages within. There’s another point when it comes to chaos dao—and I mean the real chaos dao. It’s a complete mess without organization!

“The large number of ninth ranks that have vanished might have something to do with chaos dao. You should keep this in mind as well. If all ninth ranks have gone to create an orderly world and craft an organized chaos, then will chaos dao conflict with them?”

etvolare’s Thoughts

Ohhh wait, extracting chaos energy from the four regions is actually a pretty dang good idea...
