Chapter 1942: Incorporating Dao into Chaos (I) |
“The first sword of the Hao Moon Sword is the one of calamity!”
That was established on the foundation of a thousand worlds. How should his second sword build upon that and be one step stronger?
This was what Li Hao contemplated at present.
Which world should be the center of the second set of one thousand? Life and death? Emptiness and revitalization? Yin and yang? Or another dao entirely?
He hadn’t focused on the sword dao of calamity to begin with, but it was the first to enter seventh rank. That was because he’d weathered so many chaos tribulations that it’d formed such a basis for him.
Although the sword dao of calamity was exceedingly destructive and ample enough for the sword of the first one thousand worlds, it wasn’t a true ninth rank dao. It should be much stronger than what it was if it was ninth rank.
The sword of the next one thousand worlds clearly wouldn’t be a ninth rank dao either, but it should supplement his Hao Moon Sword and be immensely useful against strong foes.
When powerhouses fight, they focus on trapping, suppression, destroying, and annihilating.
The sword of calamity was destructive enough, but didn’t trap the enemy enough. When he faced strong opponents, he relied on the power of time to freeze and suppress his enemies, then kill them with his sword!
The second sword dao should focus on suppression and trapping. In that case, the dao of emptiness will be very useful. The dao of revitalization will also help me recover…
Li Hao had a deep comprehension of the daos of emptiness and revitalization. Of course, his fell a little short compared to Void’s. However, these were daos that he was very familiar with.
Perhaps the second set of one thousand should focus on emptiness and revitalization. The moment he suppressed the enemy with emptiness and froze them, that was when he would cut them down with the sword of calamity. The dao of revitalization could also swoop in to extract their vitality. That would be the equivalent of the dao of life and death.
A world appeared from his river with those thoughts and began expanding.
The daos of emptiness and revitalization had long coalesced their own star, but the one thousand worlds had to be rendered before any star could be plucked out of it. If not, the order of Li Hao’s own dao would be disrupted.
This was a long and involved process of destruction and recombination, but also a chance for Li Hao to further improve himself.
……
Li Hao established one thousand worlds after a dozen days. Almost all of them were devoid of energy. Nearly all of the dao strength from their recent battle had gone to establishing new worlds. Only a dozen of them were filled with energy, so the task had nearly negligible effects on raising Li Hao’s strength.
His final decision had been to center the next set of one thousand on emptiness and revitalization.
After many days of seclusion, Li Hao began putting the finishing touches on the overall structure of his two thousand worlds.
The river of dao shook continuously and the dense expanse of stars over it was quite a shocking sight. However, it was all for looks as they didn’t have much of an impact on Li Hao.
Boom!
The two thousand worlds settled down with a final bang.
A cat floated over the river and assessed the changes. It flicked its tail disdainfully and shook its whiskers, moving to Li Hao and gesturing at the two thousand worlds with confusion.
You should’ve spent some time comprehending the construction of time… Why didn’t you follow the path of time? You might not be able to build it in the end if you keep following your own path.”
The layout of time contained its own unique properties. Li Hao had a certain understanding of it, so he could just replicate it. Why did he have to go to the extra effort of creating a new system? That was so troublesome and didn’t guarantee success in creating time.
“Time changes, it’s not a fixed concept,” Li Hao smiled. “Not to mention, time is different to each person. Besides, this is just a temporary construction. Or do you think I must follow the War Sovereign’s construction to come to the right answer?”
“I didn’t say that,” grumbled the cat. “It’s just that if you go at it this way, you might have a very hard time when it comes to three thousand or four thousand daos.”
“There’s no rush, we can take things one step at a time,” Li Hao exhaled. “We’ll perfect my two thousand worlds first. I lack a lot of dao strength to saturate them. It would be easy if I destroyed a world for its dao strength, but there’s not that many worlds out there for me to break. It’s beginning to seem that while the queen’s dao is good, it’s way too slow!”
It was too hard for the fourth rank queen to push him to eighth rank.
“Number Two, what do you think about me temporarily integrating time into chaos dao?” Li Hao suddenly asked. “I can enter chaos dao myself! It’s better to rely on oneself than on others and I can’t always hope for Ling Yue to supply me with large sums of chaos strength. That wouldn’t be realistic.”
Perhaps only when I enter the chaos and become part of it, will I be able to swiftly complete my dao heritage. That’s one point!
The other is that I’ll point a certain degree of threat at the Dragon master the next time we meet. Chaos beasts such as the dragons have attached their great daos to the chaos.
Number Two’s chubby face immediately creased in a severe frown. Li Hao was always thinking of wild thoughts like these. There was a system to his musing in other affairs, but when it came to dao comprehension, he loved to take risks and experiment. He would do anything that came to mind so long as it didn’t kill him.
Now he wanted to become part of the chaos and place his dao in the chaos!
A fourth rank queen had nearly been the death of him. Li Hao was a seventh rank now! How much energy from the chaos would come flooding into him if he did that?
It would quickly provide what he needed, but was that a good thing?
Being seventh rank, he might immediately saturate all two thousand worlds. Would he then start on the next set of one thousand?
Li Hao was actually just throwing ideas around and didn’t expect Number Two to agree.
“I’m going to create the mirage realm of a myriad daos next,” he murmured. “That will certainly result in faster comprehension when it comes to dao. The next set of one thousand worlds may not be that hard!
“Not to mention, the dao chess and book of dao are both helping me when it comes to comprehension. Perhaps I’ll be able to quickly grasp three thousand or four thousand daos…”
Number Two didn’t know what to say, so it could only advise, “Why don’t you become part of the chaos once you succeed in building them?”
You talk a nice talk, but what if it doesn’t work out that way? Then aren’t you screwed?
“I’ll have a hard time perfecting my second set of one thousand if I don’t incorporate myself into the chaos now.” Li Hao shook his head. “My battle strength will halt at seventh rank. I won’t be able to handle it if an eighth rank comes for me! As for you guys… I can’t constantly rely on you to be my bodyguards, can I now?”
Everyone spoke of how strong Silver Moon was, but the ones that were strong were foreigners. The three eighth ranks and multiple seventh ranks did not originate from Silver Moon.
Although everyone was currently on good terms with one another, these powerhouses had walked out of the four regions in pursuit of freedom. They couldn’t stay by Li Hao’s side forever as guards.
“I might encounter some trouble over the course of establishing the mirage realm. New Martial also has their own matters to take care of, so I need to strengthen myself!”
Once he saturated two thousand worlds, he would be on par with a cultivator of three or four thousand dao rules, even though he only grasped two thousand. He would absolutely count as an eighth rank then.
At the moment, the young man was infinitely close to eighth rank, but less than one. Killing one would not happen either!
The cat was quite resigned by the decision. It was a very dangerous course of action itself, not to mention that the kid wanted to incorporate the star of time into chaos dao as the key link. If a single misstep happened, it might be the star of time that blew up!
But Number Two was also aware that Li Hao’s mind was usually made up when he spoke like this. Persuasion otherwise would be ineffective. The young man was probably already preparing to meld his great dao into the chaos.
“Ling Yue had just verified her dao when she became part of the chaos, but you are already a seventh rank…” raised Number Two. “Will someone of your level cause an upheaval if you become part of the chaos?”
“I don’t know.” Li Hao shook his head. “But chaos beasts can incorporate themselves even when they’re eighth rank…”
“That’s just a simple attachment. You want to fully become part of it, don’t you?”
What Li Hao sought was a similar state as the queen—fully tying himself to chaos dao. Chaos beasts only depended on chaos dao. It was two different concepts!
Li Hao nodded in response.
“Why don’t you get everyone together for a conversation?” asked Number Two. “If some changes do develop from the incorporation, at least we’ll have a way to deal with it. Don’t just do it on your own in secret!”
That would be so dangerous!
This guy was always so flighty in circumstances like these. He was fine normally, but damned terrifying when he acted like a mad scientist.
“That’s true. A chat would be nice.” Li Hao smiled. He sent Number Two to notify the others while he closed his eyes in thought again.
It was better to incorporate more than time into the chaos. It’d be best to incorporate his entire river of dao. That was a nod to his earlier thoughts that he would need infinite energy to create a false chaos. He wouldn’t be able to supply that on his own unless he silenced a myriad worlds!
And that… would be a horrifying feat.
Only when he fully incorporated his river of dao into the chaos and withdrew its energy could he create a second chaos within the chaos.
He was just doing that ahead of time. Although the false chaos was yet to be set, he could lay the groundwork ahead of time.
……
Exalted emperors appeared before long, all of them showing some improvement. The greatest was Yuan Shuo since most of the energy and dao strength had gone to him.
The man’s dao domain had greatly expanded and was highly formidable. His presence swayed to and fro, hovering around seventh rank. His power was slightly out of control and he didn’t count as a full seventh rank. That would depend on Yuan Shuo’s consolidation of his own strength to come.
If he succeeded, he would be a seventh rank.
If not, he would be on par with a sixth rank in possession of a dao universe.
Yuan Shuo was the sole Silver Moon existence closest to seventh rank at present, excluding Li Hao. He was in an excellent mood, but when he heard what his student wanted to do, he couldn’t help but pipe up.
“Why are you in such a rush? We can force Ling Yue to break through again…”
The queen rolled her eyes wordlessly! Are you guys even listening to yourself?
But it made sense. She was only fourth rank and already part of the chaos. While forcefully ascending her would be slightly dangerous, it was a more assured path than Li Hao becoming part of the chaos.
Although Yuan Shuo’s words were slightly selfish, everyone present listened quietly. Those were their thoughts as well.
etvolare’s Thoughts
Mmkay, poor Ling Yue. I actually do think Li Hao created the world in TMR. And he’s also crazy.
