“Roar!!” An immense shout shook the worlds as Black Tiger materialized in front of Feng Yan. It swept up the burning princess and transformed into a streak of black wind, dashing for Skyward.
Number Two wanted to give chase, but Li Hao shouted as he cut down the Phoenix master.
“Don’t go after the black tiger! Get the white one!”
Multiple powerhouses whirled around and sped for the remaining tiger.
White Tiger, however, smiled. It turned to look at the direction Black Tiger had disappeared in. Kill me?
That’s good!
You won’t have time to go after Black Tiger then. That ensures Black Tiger’s escape!
“The chaos race will rise! No one will be able to stop our ascent!” White Tiger set its blood essence on fire and charged Void. It burned everything—its sense of self, great dao, and dao universes…
The four worlds had fallen, but the strongest of the chaos beasts was not yet dead. He would return so long as he lived. Where the Dragon master stood was his dominion! He was invincible!
Quiet returned to the void after an enormous boom. Void flew backward, his body shattering. The power of revitalization flooded upward again and again, finally managing to stop his collapse.
“Void will swallow one of the worlds…” Li Hao ordered, having no time to check on his friend. He shook another two beings into existence. “You two will devour another world!
“You will take two…” The young man turned to the Thunder master.
The man paused. What? What do you mean by that?
Li Hao neatly divvied up the four worlds and didn’t have further effort to spare. “Number Two, you’re with me!”
Time materialized, alongside a long river. Li Hao took Number Two with him and swiftly crossed the void!
“You guys need to reinforce us as quickly as possible once you finish swallowing the worlds. Thunder master, you are to enter eighth rank so you can eliminate seventh ranks. Otherwise, the return of the Dragon master will be the start of a never-ending hunt for our heads!”
Li Hao was in an incredible rush. The four worlds they’d just taken could go to the rest. With the fall of Blazing Sun, he could sense that Skyward’s dao universe might open soon. Once the Dragon master returns… and he would return. The young man could sense that that personage was about to appear!
Void was certain to set foot into seventh rank when he devoured one of the seventh rank worlds! Even if the two dao masters didn’t make it to seventh rank, they would be peak sixth rank. They should be able to fight seventh ranks as a combined whole. If the Thunder master could set foot into eighth rank… he might even stand a chance of eliminating all of the seventh ranks in one go!
Li Hao traveled extremely quickly with Number Two. The dao chess appeared at this time and asked weakly, “What about me?”
“……” Li Hao ignored the treasure. You? I swallowed your primary body… just wait for a bit. It’s not time to pay off your debt yet.

The four worlds belonging to the chaos beasts on my end have fallen and Phoenix vassals have perished! Do not misinterpret my actions, monster spirits of the five worlds…”
A longsword swung down before he finished speaking and Number Two devoured the premises. A seventh rank fighting the monster spirits stiffened, feeling dao strength rapidly drain from its body!
Power of extreme yang erupted—Gorilla!
This had been a world of extreme yang that New Martial had previously considered. Its chaos beast world master resembled a gorilla and wielded formidable power of extreme yang. However, its chaos strength rapidly receded when the sword landed!
The gorilla snarled, knowing that it had no place to run. There was another seventh rank monster spirit in front of it!
“Retreat!” it howled. “All worlds are to retreat! Go to Skyward… hurry to Skyward!”
They’d been evenly matched before, but the arrival of the Silver Moon king and a seventh rank cat that appeared to be the Ash Emperor… The enemy had suddenly been reinforced by two seventh ranks. The tides had changed!
The gorilla shouted, forcing out resplendent power of extreme yang from its body. The power exploded with a violent detonation, pulverizing the body of the seventh rank bull in front of it.
“Monster spirits are nothing when they leave their worlds!” it howled while drenched with blood. “Nothing at all! Dare you guys chase us?!”
It was both a threat and intimidation!
The chaos beasts stood a chance so long as the monster spirits weren’t willing to venture too far away from their worlds.
The Ironeaster master wanted to say something, but some of the monster spirit seventh ranks paled at his side and quickly peeled off!
The Qingqiu fox transformed into a massive fox. She broke off one of her multiple tails and filled the void with fog!
“Retreat!” she shouted. “We head to Skyward…”
Chaos beasts immediately withdrew, picking up their worlds and covering each other’s withdrawal. They made for distant Skyward!
Li Hao tumbled backward from the force of the gorilla’s detonation. He turned around to see the giant panda wielding a club snarling with fury, “Go! Get after those bastards! Hunt them down!”
Out of the seven seventh ranks from the five monster spirit worlds, three of them hesitated. To hesitate was to forgo the optimal battle timing. The Ironeater master hit the void with rage!
Idiots!
We have a chance to eliminate all of the chaos beasts! You blasted idiots!
The enraged panda summoned his other two seventh ranks and instantly appeared in front of Li Hao.
“Silver Moon King, use whatever you employed just now to take us with you. We’ll clean up the rear. We have to kill a few more of them…”
The young man was surprised, but didn’t say anything. He vanished with the three massive pandas. They traveled extremely swiftly through the river of time, going after the fleeing chaos beasts!
However many they could take down was ideal!
Of the seven worlds ahead… no, six worlds, there were eight seventh ranks among them. The Qingqiu fox was their leader. She’d broken off one of her tails, but it did absolutely nothing to stop the enemy.
When she turned back for a look, she saw that there were only five seventh ranks after them. Li Hao was a seventh rank as well.
Could the chaos beasts still fight?
They could!
But… once they were mired in battle here, the other hesitating monster spirits might catch up. The fox’s expression shifted; she looked sharply at a seventh rank fox in her world. There had been nine seventh ranks distributed among seven worlds, which meant two worlds boasted of two seventh ranks.
They could not afford to lose any more worlds or dao universes. Someone needed to head off the enemy! And the seventh ranks that were neither world masters nor masters of dao were the best candidates.
The fox didn’t say anything when its world master looked over. Instead, it barreled out of the world and shouted at another world, “Green Snake!”
A massive green snake uncoiled from Cloudsnake major world. It was neither a master of dao either and clearly understood its brethren’s intentions. The snake chuckled and turned a harsh glare upon the enemy, shooting toward Li Hao!
The Qingqiu fox broke off more tails, transforming the entire area into dense fog!
The other sixth ranks swallowed their worlds, keening the loss of more compatriots. They ran madly for Skyward Region.
Dragon Region had lost this fight! They could only salvage the situation now by preserving worlds and powerhouses to meet with their liege. This might be the end of Dragon Region if their master still did not leave the Skyward dao universe!
Six exalted emperors traveled extremely quickly. Two seventh ranks erupted with everything they had, wholly unafraid of death. The three pandas struck in unison, ripping the snake to pieces!
Li Hao and Number Two did the same to the fox!
The Ironeater master roared, wanting to give chase, but Li Hao stopped. The two chase beasts had successfully delayed them long enough. The young man turned back, instructing, “Retreat! Skyward’s dao universe is opening!”
The pandas froze in their tracks!
The Dragon master was emerging? And Li Hao could sense it?
The young man said nothing else, swiftly returning to where they’d set out from. However, he saw the previously hesitant monster spirits converge upon Gorilla major world. Li Hao scowled and waved the dao chess into existence.
“Devour Gorilla major world first and recover a slight bit. We’ll replace your dao universe with a seventh rank world first…”
The dao chess was despondent! Everyone else gained a lot for their efforts, but I… lost instead?
However, there was no time to dwell on it. However much it recovered was worth it. Not to mention, its eighth rank dao universe had been quite empty before. Gorilla major world was full of energy, so the loss wasn’t too great. It was just… its upper limit had been decreased.
The monster spirits wanted to say something, but Li Hao ignored them.
A presence erupted in the distance at this time, one accompanied by the power of emptiness. The divine punch of six daos suppressed the world and Void strode through the universe with a shout. He traveled very quickly!
Behind him, the two dao masters descended through the extension of their dao universe, moving equally quickly…
And even further away, thunder and lightning exploded. The Thunder master showed signs of advancing to eighth rank. He, too, moved to join Li Hao as fast as he could.
The monster spirits fell silent at this sight. And after all, none of the Ironeaters had said a word.
Li Hao wasn’t familiar with these monster spirits. He glanced in Skyward’s direction and said quickly, “Are you guys… going to retreat or what? We’re leaving right now. The Dragon master is out of the Skyward dao universe. While he may not dare come forward immediately, he will certainly fight to the death with us once he understands the situation…”
“The Dragon master has more seventh ranks under his banner than those out in the open,” the Ironeater master said solemnly. “We’d planned on entering the three regions and joining the eighth rank worlds of those regions. Whether it was Light or Skycloud…
“But now Skycloud is no more, so is Blazing Sun… As for Light…” The panda looked at Li Hao. “Where are you guys going?”
“Thunder Region!”
Thunder Region?
The Ironeater master hesitated. That region was too dangerous. He wanted to go with these humans since they were exceedingly frightful. They’d taken down four worlds today! But now…
“I…”
“We’re going to enter the region via Thunder World. That’s too far from your worlds. You can only abandon your worlds if you want to come with us. There’s not enough time otherwise,” Li Hao said bluntly. “You guys can enter Thunder Region right from here, there’s no need to travel that far. You can try withstanding the chaos tribulations together. I don’t have time to spare for you right now—we took what we needed from each other this time.
“The Dragon master might not set his eyes on you. Regardless, the road ahead is long and arduous. We will meet again if it’s in the cards for us! Farewell, everyone!”
etvolare’s Thoughts
Honestly, I have a better impression of the chaos beasts after these chapters. They’re smart, have vision and foresight, and are willing to sacrifice themselves for the good of their species. Meanwhile, the humans spend so much time being mired in nonsense IMO.
