    Hey guys I am currently thinking of reading LOTM but since there is anime I thought I would first watch anime and then continue reading novel but in comment section of anime I heard many people saying that there are many scenes which are cut from the novel. I don't care I will read novel if some scenes are cut in anime so guys tell me should I start anime or novel?

      I'd advise you to read the novel since there are indeed many things that are skipped in the anime plus the novel is too good to skip. I just completed it and it was an awesome journey.

    Hi, this is my third attempt to read this novel. The slow pace and incoherent logic makes it quite difficult to read. I am here to criticize it a little. I am giving you a heads up.

    I know there are a lot of diehard fans here. I honestly don't know where you come from. Maybe you watched the anime/donghua (动画) and feel excited to see if the novel has any supporting details. Honestly, I get where you are coming from.

    As an analogy, I also saw the Cooking Master Boy anime first before reading the manga. For those that know the manga and anime, you KNOW how bad the manga was, and the manga was the original work. Anyways, my point is that just because the anime is done well doesn't mean the original work is. The Lord of Mysteries might be one of those cases.

    Now, before you start muttering and flaunting how high your literary skills and intelligence is, please be patient and read what I have to say. Normally, I would NOT bother writing comments because it feels like a waste of time to argue with a digital persona on the internet. However, I feel very agitated when I am reading this novel. Why? It's because this novel is "#1" in rankings. You have every right to be offended. However, the story honestly doesn't make sense which kind of disrupts my focus when I read it. The following will be spoilers and my criticisms of this chapter. If you feel that my criticisms are overly harsh or if you feel that you can argue in favor of the author then please do so. However, please don't resort to simple insults just because I pointed out a piece of truth that you can't accept. For example, let's say I said..."this part doesn't make sense". If your response sounds something this, "you just don't get it because you are dumb", then please don't bother. I won't even reply to you because you literally said nothing. Anyways, here are my comments on this chapter:

      To be honest as someone who watch the donghua first and won't give a high rating, and now I'm on higher chapter of this novel, I was confused about your critism. You said the storyline doesn't make sense. What? what doesn't make sense? Should I explain to you? I'm not very smart but I get what the storyline is. In fact, I understand what's happening even when I was watching the donghua. Yes, criticism is allowed but your criticism doesn't make sense! Yes, I'm not insulting, I'm saying that your criticism doesn't make sense either.

      what you're criticizing seems perfectly fine though? i understand slow pace criticism since alot of other people say that but Incoherent logic? that seems nonsensical since most of your criticism can be explained in this chapter.
      Edit: also this has a large fanbase even before the donghua and that's for good reason.

      Bro I would've actually respected you if you were criticising it after reading the novel, you have the right of that, but blindly criticising because the few earlier chapters don't make sense is foolish, they obviously wouldn't make sense it's the freaking first volume, a new power system, I've never encountered any power system like this one before, the first volume is more like an introduction and a prelude of the events that will follow, and everything will be explained, the MC transmigration, why he is so calm, and the reason of the original bodys owner death, and they are important plot points too, this book deserves the No.1 place, yes it may have its flaws, I personally haven't noticed any, perhaps smart people like you would, if you actually bothered to read the novel before criticising it, although your opinion wouldn't change, because you aren't coming her to read but to purposefully find faults, who starts criticising at the first chapter 🙄 Idon't mind this book getting criticism, because not everyone can like it, but the way you're doing it is like your looking for a fight.
      And I don't find he's reaction to his headache abnormal,
      the world isn't made of only normal people, there's depressed people, there's also suicidal people, psychopaths, schizophrens, and also stupid people like me .
      And there exists all kind of people with all kind of personalities, with all kinds of life experiences that have shaped them.
