【From the author of ‘The Runesmith’!】

The epic battle between hero and demon reaches its climax within the accursed castle.

However, in a shocking twist of fate, the Hero is betrayed by his most trusted allies. Struck down in the midst of the battle, the Hero and Demon King meet their demise.

As their souls linger on the edge of the afterlife, a mysterious force intervenes, merging their fragmented souls together with a new being.

The living armor, now affected by their memories and presence, embarks on its own quest.

Will it seek revenge on those who betrayed the hero, or will it fulfill the desires of the fallen demon king? or instead, forge its own path? Collapse

Actually a pretty good story about a living armor occupied by itself and system-bound souls of the long dead hero and demon king (armor is the MC, others are sidekicks). Nothing amazing but entertaining enough for a litRPG story.

Much faster than whatever the fck The Runesmith was supposed to be. By chapter 264 MC is already on the last stage of the D rank after starting from F-.

I thought it was slow and kind of mid until the author decided to let AI write his story for him and it turned weird.

Its not bad per se, its just really really mid.
Like lower shelf mid. I read like i think 300 chapters of runesmith a few years back, and I remember having it being a rather distateful experience ig. When I think back on it its like "ugh".
I gave this a try though since it's been a long time and read over a 100 chapters but it seems author's skill level, quality, etc. hasn't really seen any development or growth in all this time.
The story has a good setting and that's about it in my opinion. Everything else is average at best.
The way I would describe it is that's there is no actual depth to the story and characters, but is trying really hard to make them fit to the vision he has.
Some might like it but I can't bother wasting my time reading it over a story that's actually high quality.

it had a problem of being slow to the point of mc lvl'ing up 5 times in 100 chapter (something like 3 months worth of chapters) and that 5 lvls happend in one chapter.
Did we had some cool runic technology upgrade inbetween all of this? Not really some trouble and noble shenanigans that wasn't interesting but that's all.
It pretty nice to binge read awfull to read from chapter to chapter.

This is honestly great. I've managed to read 178 chapters in 2 days, which might just be a PB for me. But besides that, since i'm not a great reviewer, i will just note some nice things that i like about this book. The biggest one is that, since my boy Rusty isn't human, he doesn't have a sense of "morals" like most people would. He is mainly influenced by his two guides, Aburdon and Mr. Hero. One is blatantly evil, the other is somewhat annoyingly righteous. Sometimes, Rusty will agree with Aburdon, who favors quick growth, no mercy, and power. Other times, Rusty will go with Mr. Hero's suggestions, who favors teamwork, mercy, and low risk. This leads to Rusty developing a personality that doesn't lean towards one side or the other. At times, he can be merciful when he wants to, such as not killing people when he can. Other times, he can be merciless, such as massacring a den of thieves with poison. At the same time, he relies on both of his guides and doesn't hate or dislike either. Aburdon is well-versed in arcane magic, while Mr. Hero is familiar with the human world. This is what i truly like about this novel. Sometimes, it gets really annoying to have a main character that is frustratingly righteous, and when they act "ruthless", it's just a one-off emotional outburst. It is also not always enjoyable to have an evil main character, as the ruthless slaughter gets dreary over time. Watching Rusty develop is like watching a baby grow, albeit about 10x faster. He is not righteous, nor is he evil. He is a clear drawn middle. Also to the people who have read The Runesmith (I have not, just to be clear), please give this novel a chance. It has been a very enjoyable and refreshing novel to read, personally.
Edit: Let me clarify something, cause I worded things differently. Rusty is not "sometimes good, sometimes evil", when i said that he is a "clear middle" between evil and good. What i mean here is that Rusty has no problem plundering, stealing, or even killing if what it does not only helps him, but also poses little risk to his wellbeing. Personality-wise, he leans towards the good side. He doesn't indiscriminately kill, with his killings in the later chapters mostly being targeted towards evil people. I suppose this is due to his increased knowledge in later chapters than in the early ones. When he does do things that one would consider "evil", like plundering or stealing, the victims of said actions are usually not killed, especially if the victim did nothing to especially aggravate Rusty. Simply put: Good/Neutral beings: Plunder, steal, KO. Evil: Plunder, steal, kill.

If at any point in the story they don't form a band and play Heavy metal. I'm going to be severely disappointed.
