I had a headache trying to read the first two chapters. It feels an AI created novel, yet not. DO not bother to read, trust me.

I've never cringed harder in my life than while reading this novel 3
This feels AI generated and at the same time not... Author had an absolutely insane Idea behind this novel but the execution and the end product is somewhat lackluster... Especially the info delivery... Author is just trying to force feed and entire buffet rather than spoon feed lore a bit at a time.
As a Daoist who has been through myriads of worlds, I can tell when a novel has good ideas and enough potential and this one is one of them... It's just a pity to not be able to read what this novel could've been.
PS: I think I know what the problem is, the author is too desperate to explain his world.

I should have listened to the previous poison testers. The info dumping in this novel is indeed quite severe, with a majority of the words being a complete waste of time as they didn't make it back to the story.

Plus, due to the aspect of it having a "modern cultivation" taste to it, it essentially traded the grit and passion usually found in traditional xianxias to a big 🤓. This is due to the novel completely disregarding and calling the ancient cultivation system trash in how it "requires so much resources" but not accurately describe how the modern cultivation system is better(in terms of resource efficiency), which is crazy to me, considering the amount of info dumps in the 20 chapters I've read. Portraying the MC as a genius beyond reproach simply because he came from the modern world also feels shallow to me.

It was intended to be a cultivation novel, but personally, it felt like I was reading a different genre altogether. I'd have been better prepared going into this novel if I knew it was going to be like this.

To anyone who is planning to read this, do not expect a xianxia novel, think of it as reading something new. Also expect info dumps, a loooooot of info dumps.

    Dropped at chapter 20.

I ended up dropping this, not due to poor translation, that was actually quite well done compared to the rest of the trash mtl editing groups, but rather the writing of the novel itself.

The author meanders between huge chapter long info dumps, confusing scene transitions and plot developments.

The novel had decent worldbuilding, though it relies far too much on name-dropping famous academics for my taste. If you want something that does that but better, read "Throne of Magical Arcana" by the same author of lotm.

    6/10.

Woah Scientific Cultivation? Will it actually give us good reasons and explanations for their power system? Anyone got good recommendations for good power systems?
