The Exalt [Cultivation Fantasy] by Mistapak

Good and Original. Sleep inducing, Patience testing, mind numbing, Slow-paced and refreshing.
Good read compared to many generic fantasy novel.
Edit : This novel feels like a challenge to me. So, i will read till the end and I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS FOR THE WEAK WILLED.

This novel has one of the best excecutions at the start. It started off slow like LOTM vol 1 level slow making me skip some sentences in annoyance. Howerer, when ACT 1 ended, Oscar undergoes character developement. The whole second arc was fully mature and the third arc showed that people move on from their teenage infactuation and have grown to be an mature adult. Unexpected twists came through at a certain point in the novel. The world building certainly impressed me but thats it. NOTHING MORE.

Antagonists is a term that does not exist in the novel until the later parts. For those wondering if this is a harem, it is not. It certainly dwells through the intrecasies of a relationships and how people move on so people expecting teenage romance may not find this appealing. To be frank, Oscar has a lot of plot armor and to be frank, he was super lucky to meet people who helped him.

Best character for me was Gol-4 and best girl is..well..All I can say is best girl is his wife.

Probably one of the slowest cultivation novels I've read. It is well written despite that, but it just starts to get tiring after a while.

As we all know, all cultivation MCs have a form of cheat to make them stand out. But the MCs "cheat" is his tenacity and luck in terms of connections such as teachers and the like.

It was after the 80-90 chapter mark that I started losing interest, because despite the MC being kind and tenacious, he's bland. He's kind, but not to the point where it makes him interesting. He's tenacious, but not the the point where you feel that thump in your heart.

He is not funny, outrageous, cruel, cowardly, he is only what he needs to be to survive. He has had no major enemies, his enemies were essentially given to him by other people besides John, if you can even consider him an enemy.

I understand that these things are the way they are might be because the author wanted to leave some room for character development, but I don't know if I can read another 80 chapters of buffer chapters. If anyone gets farther into the story, lmk if it gets better.

Why are there now so many AI Generated Novel covers, I get that they probably dont want to pay artists, but its also feels like AI Generated covers give off a bad impression for me, what do yall think?

The mc is too naive and too dumb and emotionally weak. I felt annoyed with the way mc behaved, but I guess I read too much Xianxia to enjoy these shonen styled stories. The way these powerful and influential characters are too interested in mc randomly makes it unrealistic.

Considering what he wrote in Announcement - start of this novel was bad, but maybe it becomes better later.

It was well executed cliches till chap 70 when I read on rr
