“Since I was born, I’ve had the same dream every day, where the same day repeats over and over.”

“What do you do in the dream?”

“Rob banks, blow up buildings, flirt with girls, play Grand Theft Auto… since it’s a dream, I naturally do a lot of lawless things.”

“Tell me what you did last night.”

“Last night was more interesting. I’ve been dreaming for so long, but it’s the first time I’ve dreamt of someone I know in real life. She was a very beautiful girl…”

“Mhm.” The police officer nodded while taking notes. “Go on, I’m listening.” Collapse

It's really not as good as I had thought it would be, the premise is interesting but the actual Novel is frustrating and slow, after a certain point my frustration built and I realized that I hadn't been interested in it for quite some time. (Ch.66)

Thankfully there are some detailed reviews that let me take a peak at the direction of the Novel, and I can say with certainty that I'm glad I stopped here.

I see you are unaware that fiction is very political, and especially Chinese novels tend to be so ;)

This is peak writing for those that understand the worth of the novel.
    That's all I'll say.

The fanboy-ish wank for Elon Musk honestly killed my enjoyment of the novel. Easily the most immersion breaking thing in the novel is that the "Elon is a genius" is played straight here. Couldn't keep reading, especially given what's up IRL rn.

Yes, easily the worst thing about the novel, still worth it I'd say.

I work in IT and am not from the west. Dealing with Elon fans has been a pain, especially when they are clients, and the man's fanclub is global. People do give a shit. His investments are also hurting my country. So, no.

Not really. I don't think Chinese people don't really follow american politics. I don't know about ur situation but in the context of this novel your opinion is garbage

Well i can very well see how this might make things worse even if you dont care about politics, quite a few people knew he was a billionare clown before the dumb things he did in the last bit.
(A bit extreme comparison tbh but anyway just to make the point)
Think about the author saying Hitler was good for xyz, would it still not matter even if you took politics out of it?

it killed the immersion for sure, at times. and not bc of politics but bc its unnecessary, the character wasn’t unlike elon anyway. it would of been better to create a completely OC inspired from Elon. I think we would have still got the gist.

Yeah I hate whenever any novel uses real life people because what the masses know about a person is never fully true and some people view these celebrities differently so it’s really hard to write a character like that well

I mean the author couldve quite literaly made a person who is what Elon wants to be seen so badly as.

I don’t see a problem? So what if they play it up end of the day it isn’t gonna give Elon Musk a 100/100 fame boost and a +10 to his intelligence he’s still gonna be the same ol’ dumbass regardless of whether this novel includes him as smart or not deal with it or not it’s in the novel 🤷‍♂️

    Damn… alright thanks.

There is a lot of action, yes most of it is not in the present timeline, but there is quite a bit there too. Car chases, guns etc..

I'm at ch 350 & this novel is really great, the best webnovel I've found in years. The author is just so cute with some of these ideas.

(About 99% of this is great & 1% is trash that editing could have caught if this was up for serious publication, for example silly rushed transitions to the next arc etc )

My biggest qualm about this is that strongly dislike Elon Musk & he is an undying cockroach in this novel, well so far :P
